Don't bother! Silly plot line and lazy unexplained plot twists. I don't want to give away the story but the sideline about zombies (now a character is one now they are not?) is annoying and unconvincing. The story would been better without the vampire theme - the beginning of the book where the two protagonists play emotional 'cat and mouse' is actually quite interesting and would have made an intriguing novel if written well. Such a shame - lost opportunity. Other than that, waste of time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Defiantly a good read 29 Jan. 2013
By Deb - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
The author presents a read that the pace is lively and the characters well developed and interesting. The main character Valarie struggles with her feelings of grief and loss, the longing to be loved and the reality that she has to make decisions that in the end are best for her. These inner battles are not unlike the "mortal man" who finds himself with a full array of emotions when trying to make their way in this world. The writing was creative and there were unexpected twists, which kept me interested and turning the pages.

2.0 out of 5 stars What?! 31 Dec. 2012

This was a very odd book. There were some really good parts but most of the book kept me asking what the heck?! I felt this book veered off in so many different directions; emotions of the characters were all over the place, it could have been made into a few different books with as many side tracks as it took. The main character was a widow, then a vampire, then not really a vampire, then she wanted a relationship with a guy then she didn't then he became a vampire then they wanted to kill each other then they didn't....on and on and on... I finished the book because I hate to leave books unfinished; unfortunately, this is the only reason I why I finished it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good read 30 Aug. 2013

I liked this book. It is not your typical vampire book. But it is still a good read. I liked the good vs. evil aspect of it. Great characters. Well written. A good add to your tbr list.
