Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The NVR add on was one of the more earlier additions for MSTS. At the time it was good, as it introduced brand new models for the simulator. The NVR section of the line [Wansford - Peterborough] was very recogniseable, however the scenery between stations was very bland and very repetitive. On the Main line section it wasnt much different, a lot of trees and fences with virtually no buildings near the line. The stock was ok, however i found out that they were much taller than any other rolling stock i had installed. Some of the models such as the B1 & Standard 5 were nicely detailed. The sounds were another let down of this potentially good add on, some locos had their own whistles but had the default Flying Scotsman "chuff". Others just had complete default sounds. An ok add on but there are certainly better preserved railway add ons out there.

Terrible. A mix of preservation era and 1950s. Poor scenery and graphics are awfully outdated. Really not worth anything more than maybe making it a freeware item.
With a little patience and lots of time for exploring with just a diesel engine and/or a couple of coaches it is so easy to get totally immersed in this wonderful train simulation of days gone by. Just exploring and getting nowhere is as much fun as the activities. This is the least boring but most satisfying of them all and I have quite of these rail simulations now.
"Brisworth", "Dundle" Sidings? Not that these spoil what is an excellent simulation of tracks that disappeared 30-40 years ago. Combine these new locos and the excellent sound with the superior scenery of Cambrian Route to get the best combination. The system requirements are heavy, at 1.75Gb of hard drive and my Pentium 4 2.8MHz PC struggles with the animations at times. Great to see our part of the world on the map!
This had all the potential of being an entertaining line - allowing you not just to trace the present-day preserved Nene Valley Railway, but to go much further and re-trace the old closed lines beyond Yarwell Junction.
To be honest, it's a hell of a disappointment. It feels like the programmers lost heart soon after leaving Peterborough. Whilst it works well in isolation if it is the only add-on you've got, it will crash or freeze your PC is you have any other Train Sim add-ons.
Contact Sales say that they do offer an improved version, but you have to return the old CD to them first - they don't have any repair patches available online.
I got this add on with my berthday money it is the worst add on i ever got all it dose is crash the holl train simulator you have to uninstal the holl train sim and reinsal it agen to get it working so if you want your train sim working dont biy this.
