Vacu Vin was established as a brand in 1986 and initially built its reputation by manufacturing and selling innovative, high-quality barware appliances. The original assortment included the award-winning Wine Saver Pumps, Vacuum Bottle Stoppers and Rapid Ice Wine Coolers that are now used in over 35 million households. In recent years, the organisation has placed considerable emphasis on expanding into the kitchen and food preparation market. The company's product portfolio continues to grow on a yearly basis as it strives to fulfil the ever-evolving demands of consumers in more than 80 countries throughout the world.
The Vacu Vin Banana Guard is an ideal gadget for those who regularly eat bananas when on the move and want to avoid the common problem of bruising and squashing. A series of specific openings within the appliance ensure that it will accommodate any banana - irrespective of size and shape. The Vacu Vin Banana Guard is dishwasher safe.

I have tried using the large banana shaped cases but so often found that the bend was too tight, or the length was wrong etc etc.
The Vacu Vin banana guard has so far fitted all the bananas I have tried. It clips together very easily, and your precious banana if perfectly protected inside ... But, and it is a star reducing but ... It is big ... This is somewhat mitigated by the fact that it folds flat when not in use, but if like me, you take along a bottle of water too, your lunch pack can be pretty bulky.
Well worth the price in my opinion despite the size.
my only down side is that after a lot of use, the folds have started to split but that's probably more to do with me having it at the bottom of my bag getting a lot of abuse.
