This card has the power of a 7950 for the price of 7870, the amazon site doesn't state that it's the same gpu from 7950 but slightly cut down on the cores. if you play at 1080p you won't notice a difference with performance over 7950 or a 660ti.

Great card for price

I've had the card for 4 months now, it runs everything I play on 1920x1080 Ultra (mainly a heavily Modded +ENB enabled Skyrim)
clock speeds 1000/1500.

It uses two PCI-E connectors so make sure your 500w+ PSU as them.

This uses the Tahiti chip, (used in the 7900 series) and was originally going to be called the HD7930. However they confusingly decided to call it HD7870 Tahiti LE - but it is better than the Pitcairn chip used in the standard HD7870s which are at a similar price.

The card runs hot. Under full load at 50% fan speed I'm over 80C. I upgraded my case fans too three cooler master fans blowing in and one exhaust at the back which helped. You can increase the fan speed on the card which makes a significant decrease of -5C/10C but its very loud.

The ATI drivers for this have been great too.

This is a slightly nerfed 7950(same gpu chip),but if you run 1080p its amazing bang for buck/pound.
i run two of these in crossfire and can easy max crysis 3 (35-55fps),the top card gets a little hot but for 400€(for 2) this can not be beaten
easy to overclock so you get the same proformance as a 7950 boost card

CONS fans can produce lot of noise ,only really a worry if you crossfire then i rec to get a two fan cooler for top card as it runs up to 10c hotter

This card is the best performing card at the £150 price range. It has the power of a Nvidia 670 for a significant amount less. I have been playing Battlefield 4 at mostly ultra setting and achieve at least 50fps (with an FX-6350 cpu and 8gb of ram) but if you use the raptr program you get along with the drivers you can optimize the game for a mix of high and ultra settings and get between 70 to 100 fps at 1080p. Other games such as Borderlands 2 and Dishonored run at stable 60fps with everything turned up. My only negative about the card is that it runs warm and the fan need to be turned up to at least 70% during long gaming sessions to keep the card at around 60 degrees Celsius and the fan is loud. If you are a quiet freak I recommend that you either buy a 7870 which is a good card but not nearly as good as the 7870 Tahiti LE or spend an extra £40 on the sapphire version as it has a better cooling system so you do not have to turn up the fans up nearly as much.

1200mhz with stock voltage (1.22), 10k graphics score at 3D11.
This was supposed to be a replacement for my Asus 7970 DCII while 290x dont drop prices, but i am so amazed that probably, i will hold it until other gen.
Superb value, quiet (yes...not whisper quiet, but very quiet even at 100% fan speed), not very hot (i wont go above 65-66ºcore / 59/60º vrm while gaming with 1200mhz fan 100%).

Card itself is nothing short of amazing you get performance of a 7950 for a price of 7870. It can play almost all modern games like Bioshock Infinite, Battlefield 4, Dead Rising 3, Civilisations 5, War Thunder and etc... on ultra at around 50-60 fps. BUT this card has one but a really unpleasant problem and that is its fan/cooler when gaming for more than an hour temps go all the way to 85-90C, even when i clocked the card down to 950mhz and made a custom fan profile tems are still around 82-86C. not only that but the fan saunds like a jet engine at takoff when at 100%.
