Trail running with barefoot feeling and breathability. A lightweight, breathable shoe that's a natural fit for trail loving feet. The breatho trail's duo mesh and anatomic zigzag lacing structure give a comfortable 'second skin' fit. Your shoes and your feet will move as one, no matter what nature throws at them.

Well, sad to say just after posting the above I developed plantar fascia in my right foot. After years of running in conventional shoes with never a problem; BTW I'm in my mid sixties. It could be coincidence of course. I'm not running at all at the moment after struggling on for six months and it seems to be improving but I'll probably be back to my favourite Sauconies!
I have big (long, not wide) feet and am a woman, so sometimes I wear men's shoes (as these are). In women's shoes sometimes I'm a 43 sometimes a 44. In men's shoes I'm usually a 43. Knowing Vivos come up small - as in, wide but short - I went for a size 44. I'm glad I did, because they do fit but only just. Usual thing - it's the length. There's loads of wiggle room around the toes, but the design is quite blunt. Fortunately the foot shape on these allows for a person having a large big toe!
They are really comfy. I have very sensitive, tender feet, but in Vivos I can walk miles.
Its a natural style of running in which you should not need any shoes at all.
These fit like gloves and are great for just walking about protecing those sensitive feet..for running they are great, the textured sole good for off road running.
my only concern is the same for all barefoot running shoes.. we pay trainer prices for very soft flexible trainers...like beach shoes or plimsolls..which are a fraction of the price.
So my next pair of barefoots will be the cheapest soft plimsole I can find...but this is a very good product and ideal to get started
Thats why I give them three stars.. why so expensive? less should not cost more
First pair arrived promptly but I noticed the lining material under the removable insole was parting where it was stitched to the heel cup. It was clearly going to get worse once I started using them. So back it went.
A week or so later another pair arrived, and this had the identical fault as before. In fact I was almost convinced it was the same pair.
Anyway, after a friendly chat with the vendors, and another return, a third pair arrived and this is looking good so far. Hopefully that was just a bad batch. We'll see.
Ordered half a size larger compared to the Trails gloves i.e. 10 vs 9.5 and they fit nicely.
The profile of the sole is quite distinct and on tarmac they do not feel like barefoot shoes at all. However, in the woods or on soft underground these changes and these shoes give you good traction whilst giving you the barefoot feel.
As a side note the blue on the picture is nicer/darker than in real life.
seller was very good, product shipped quickly with regular useful updates during the sales process.
