I love this stuff. its a double sided velcro product, one side is hooks while the other side is loops. Simply its a non-sticky reusable tape, you can cut to the desired length. I've used it mainly for sorting out cables. My new TV stand looks neat, my Aquarium has hidden cabling (with a few choice plants), headphones are now tangle free when not being used, the dogs lead, laptops chargers, mobile phone chargers etc. etc. etc.
OK, so its mainly cables you'll use this for, but you get the idea.
In short its great to keep unruly cables in check highly reusable, and the fact that you can cut to length means this is a highly cost effective solution to cablemanagement.
This has to be one of the most useful products I've ever bought. This One-Wrap tape, especially when combined with Velcro's Stick On tape (linked below), makes semi-permanent or permanent cablemanagement incredibly easy.
A quick tip: if you use this to tie multiple cables together make sure you put the loop (fluffy) side on the inside and wrap it nice and tight. This will provide the best grip on the cables and help keep them in place.
Bought this to help with cablemanagement for an office setup (previously we had used cable ties, but they were a challenge to remove!). Could not be happier - a single roll did an entire 15-seat office for us (no more than 4cm needed at a time) and each 'tie' is easily reused or removed. I do a lot of technical work and this has become indispensable - earning a permanent roll in my toolkit!
Quite aside from that, this is a much more environmentally friendly alternative to single use cable ties (or the extremely fiddly reusable variant).
Tried these as an alternative to plastic cable ties for management as I was constantly adding/removing cables to bunches creating excessive waste - These are the perfect solution!
The velcro is just thin enough for even the smallest of cable bunches but not too thin that it would snag or pinch the the cables. You cut everything to size on a per-use basis so theres never any wastage.
These are very simple yet insanely useful. The theory of occam's razor certainly applies here, these are as effective as any more expensive cablemanagement system. It comes as one long strip so regardless of what you're tying, you can always cut a strip to fit.
The velco is the, for want of a better term, non-prickly kind, I can't think why this is useful as such, but I like it none the less.
