I bought this Velcro tape (30mm) at the same time as buying some 10mm tape. The idea was to use the wider tape on longer, thicker cables. I need not have bothered. I have found that the 10mm tape is OK for all my audio, video and mains cables and it looks as though I may not use this 30mm tape, unless I cut it lengthways.
brilliant stuff.........i keep finding uses......tidying up cables behind tv's........holding fishing rods together when not in use.....improvised cycle clips for trousers.......headphone cables to long wrap with this stuff.......holding a work light under a bonnet......
these are all done using this self gripping velcro...just cut to length and wrap around as tight or as loose as necessary.
Whilst described as "self gripping ties", this is basically just a long roll of Velcro that you can cut to make loops. I bought it with the intention of clearing up the wires under my desk, and it works perfectly for this. I was able to bundle collections of cables together and tie them to the legs of the desk, and to shorten long cables by tying up excess cable in loops. End result, a much clearer area under my desk, all thanks to Velcro.
Very simple product; It's double sided velcro. Cut it to length and wrap to bundle cables together. I cut some strips and screwed them to the underside of my desk - now my studio cables are tidy and safe and I can easily change my wiring scheme.
Only criticism would be maybe 5mm is slightly narrow its fine when new but I'm not sure the velcro will have the same strenth when its been used for a while.
