V-fit MCCT-1 2-in-1 Cycle Cross Trainer
Continuing in the current V-fit line-up, this amazing piece of equipment is both an exercise cycle and a cross trainer.
A very versatile and capable machine with a smooth and quiet magnetic flywheel resistance system, operating for both functions.
The fixed, central safety handle along with the fully adjustable padded saddle is used for when cycling and the dual-action handlebars coupled with the over-sized non-slip footplates support the user when using as a cross trainer. No need to swap or change any parts around before using as a Cycle or Cross Trainer, simply get on and get going as per your preference.
The LCD monitor shows all the necessary readings in both modes to enable the user to track and record their progress and the 8-stage resistance adjustment takes it from easy to challenging as required.
Use standing as a Cross Trainer.
or seated as an exercise bike.
LCD display, 8 level resistance control and fixed safety handle.
Non-slip footplates instill confidence and accommodate all shoe sizes.

I use the crosstrainer and it does leave you puffed. The reach is not quite as long as I would have liked, but not complaints. Good for the price.
My husband uses the bike and uses his arms on the crosstrainer. Good if you are not particularly mobile (my husband) as it allows you to sit and still exercise and maybe progress to the crosstrainer.
Very please with it.
Have had a replacement since late January 2017 and it has now stopped working, something has happened inside of the machine and there is no resistance at all, obviously not meant to be used very often!!!!!!
My only gripe (hence only 4 stars) is that a poorly tapped thread on the left-hand pedal-crank (see illustration of poor thread with imperfections and burrs) prevented the shoulder-bolt screwing in correctly. By that stage in the build, dismantling, re-packing and returning the machine is just such a waste of time for this small matter, and it's not a fault the distributor could have known about, but it does demonstrate the odd rough edge in the manufacture (from China). It is solved by obtaining an M12 x 1.25 left-hand thread tap at the cost of another £10.50, which I reckoned worth the cost, and less hassle.
However, I would suggest that more stringent quality control be applied by the manufacturer, which should include better quality dome-headed nuts (see illustration of poor quality dome which came off nut), and cautioning the user against over-tightening the bolts on the stabilizers which are otherwise made of too thin a grade of steel and can crumple, although they are just adequate for the job.
Nevertheless, I would still suggest that, in general, this is a good buy.
The box it came in weighed over 40kg, so made the delivery man sweat a bit, but it is for exercise, so that's just fine.
Assembly was very easy excepting attaching the 'pedal bars'. As mentioned in another review the thread tapping is shocking, it took me an age to get the supplied screws into the thread, basically re-threading it as it screwed in - it's still not completely done, but it's not moving, so i'm not going to kill myself any more over it.
The supplied allen key was made of something akin to cheese, so it snapped in half halfway through getting the first pedal bar on.
The bad: The instruction manual is gibberish. The machine is not intrinsically difficult to assemble, but the instructions make it difficult. On mine, the display doesn't work at all apart from the heartrate monitor. I have had no reply to my emails to the company asking for help.
If the instructions were accurate and well written; if the display worked; if there was any customer service - then it would have got 5 stars from me.
When finished, it worked like a dream - as good as all the good reviews said - and silent.
This morning - no resistance when pedalling - something has happened internally. I checked the resistance cable is still attached to the knob and lower section - so not that.
Amazon great as always - one email and they're happy to take it back - now I've just got to wrap a trainer!
In summary, good when it's working - we may have just been unlucky with a dodgy one, who knows? Hope this helps...
I'm fairly fit as I play football once or twice a week and find level 2 of the 8 quite enough for a 30 to 40 minute workout.
The seat is nice to sit on mid workout, helping you keep the session going, but as a bike the pedals are set a bit too far forward and makes it quite hard work (you end up doing most of the work with your arms). The seat is adjustable but it just isn't right for a bike - you need it to be over the pedals.
My wife is small @ 4'11 and she finds it very hard going - especially on the knees and the bike is really hard for her, even on level 1.
I would also suggest putting it on a non-slip mat if you have laminate flooring as it constantly slides forward, I've put one under the back legs & this seems to do the trick. Stick it in front of the tv as well and do your workout while watching it, ignore the display until you stop and you don't realise how long you've been going.
