This book contains all gay people need to know when visiting the land of the rising sun. It includes organisations, hotels, restaurants, night clubs, saunas and cruising spots and gives their addresses and even has comments from recent visitors so that you know how to get there and what to expect when you arrive. Tokyo and Osaka as well as small towns (like Naha) have a mention. It importantly states which establishments have English speaking staff and the establishments best to go to if you have some knowledge of Japanese. It also states the type of clientele of each establishment as there is something for everyone (under 40's, chubbies, trendy etc), and the prices (in Japanese Yen) you would expect to pay. Most of the book is dedicated to gay men, but there is a smaller lesbian section at the end. This book is a must-have if you plan to visit some of the vast amount of gay establishments in the beautiful far-away land of Japan. Highly recommended!
