Carter HarveyReviewed in the United States on 16 August 20225.0 out of 5 stars Useful in practical and purely theoretical fashion (and as a history)
Format: HardcoverVerified purchaseI got this because I’d noticed the title referenced as a source on several occasions. I am in grad school for user experience and design, and was looking for deeper explanations and background for some topics we only glanced over. This book immediately elevated my practical understanding of how best to use and implement certain facets of cognitive walkthroughs, and I would be surprised if it failed to do the same for many other methods.
As well I was hoping to satisfy some purely personal and ostentatious desires to whittle out additional references which might now be considered as esoteric. Science folklore. Some miracle grow for the old ego.

Jim GreyReviewed in the United States on 26 September 20001.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Format: HardcoverVerified purchaseI do usability inspections as part of my job. I bought this book based on Nielsen's reputation and the description of this book here on Amazon.com. I was very disappointed to find that this book was scholarly, not practical. After scanning the book, I returned it for refund.
