Because of the reasonable price, I didn't expect much, but I was amazed at the quality of sound and the comfort. I have small and very sensitive ears, which don't take kindly to objects being stuffed in them, hence I don't buy ordinary in-ear phones. These sit gently over the ears and the bud sits neatly just inside the ear opening, so it doesn't press onto the skin. The band keeps the earphones in perfect position making them ideal for running.
In terms of sound quality, there is honestly very little difference between these and my circa £50 Sony pair. For those who want Bose or B&O sound quality, I suggest spend more money, but if you are purchasing for running or gym work, I would highly recommend these.
I have never bought a pair of earphones that fit so well. I will definitely be buying some more in other colours, even if I keep them for when these have had their day. They also come with replacement ear bud covers!
The quality is fine. I am not looking to re-create the Royal Albert Hall for my run and these allow some awareness of your surroundings whilst still providing decent sound quality at reasonable volume for the duration of the run, although an inline volume control would be a nice addition. Still comfortable after just under an hour so far. Would definitely buy again.
Aimed at the value conscious buyer this set of wired buds uses a "neck band" design which will suit some users quite well with the curved over ear moulding and plastic neck band (this has some flex to it) Fit and comfort were excellent this model features a built in microphone (press the button to answer calls) and an L shaped 3.5mm gold plated jack.
3 silicone tips are supplied do experiment a bit with these as you need to get a good "seal" in the ear canal other wise the sound will be distant and vague. Cable length of 1.25 metres is fine for most users long enough for pockets or belts though I would have preferred a clip to hold the cable to clothing.
Onto the sound these are very much in the "bigger bass/mids" department and the treble takes a back seat that does give it a fairly meaty sound output (no shortage of bass it's deep though not overly tight) To compensate I ramped up the treble on the EQ if you like lots of sparkle in the highs then this set might not be for you, on the other hand you won't have problems with harsh treble that some earphones can overdo. I quite like the sound but it's not for everyone.
Considering the price of the earphones and integrated microphone controls it's a fairly solid buy and offers good value for money for discerning buyers. Much better than some budget sets I have tried which tend to lack depth to the bass.
Didn't send back as they werent broken im sure it might have been me wearing them wrong but the sound wasn't great. But for the price it's expeceted and this is being compared to much more expensive brands of headphones. But as starting headphones they're good!
July 2015 Update: After about 9 months the audio output on them got very faint. There was no visible damage so I don't know why this should happen. The reseller refunded me in full, so I am very happy with their service, just not the product.
My only qualifications in recommending them to you, dear reader, are: 1. The three pairs of rubber ear fittings seem large. Only the smallest pair fits me; 2. the cable is stupid long. I have to wrap the cable around myself under my running vest to stop if flapping around when I run. It could easily be half the length. 3. It looks a little cheap and cheerful (fine, it is).
Anyway, I liked mine so much that I bought a second pair to keep in the office. Recommendations come no higher than a second purchase!
