Described as "Unique" and "Top-Notch" by Fighters Only magazine. This Disc shows the application of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA techniques to real fighting situations; it covers: take-downs, takedown defences, escapes from common situations on the ground, and how you can apply MMA techniques to the key priority in the street i.e. getting up as quickly as you can. This is taught by Leo Negao, former BJJ world champion and sparring partner Anderson Silva, Minotauro, Vitor Belfort and others. It also shows how to defend knife threats and attacks - this is presented by Stewart McGill, the Chief Instructor of Urban Krav Maga and author of the acclaimed Urban Krav Maga 6-DVD set.

I have viewed dvds costing more than twice this purchase price that did not give half the content.
It is not padded out with waffle or musical film clips.
The dvd is full of no-nonsense takedowns, groundwork and knife threats demonstrated fast, slow then broken down for analysis but moves along briskly.
As you know if a fight is going on for a few minutes there is a good chance it will go to a clinch, takedown then groundwork or you may be jumped upon.
Stewart also demonstrates escapes should you find yourself on the receiving end.A lot of trainers want you to buy an additional dvd for this but you get the full package.
Having practiced a few of the Arts,I`m past my best now but I do know what will work in a real life situation without a ref, these will.
If you only selected and became proficient in a few of these moves it is worth more than the price and if you are unfortunate to need them you will stand a better chance.
Observing Stewart I would be confident in saying he is a very good teacher.
An excellent service from an approachable expert, highly recommended. Bought as a gift. Thank you.
The review complaining about quality, have you informed Stewart, because I guarantee if the moan was justified Stewart would be the first to put his hands up,apologise and replace the dvd.
For the life of me I can`t understand how you need prior KM training to use these moves, read the TITLE. The techniques are used in various defence systems. The arm bar is an arm bar in any language. Of course if you are a complete novice, some may at first appear complicated,(this applies to any new interests)but they are natural moves and this is where practice comes in. Just follow Stewart`s detailed demonstrations and instructions.
As with any system, you take what works and feels natural to yourself,in fact keep it simple,be selective and don`t overload your head with so many moves, when you need them you end up dithering and catching a bomb while you are deciding which one to use.
This is instruction in groundwork should you need it and how to avoid a cornered knife attack.............run!!!!
