There is definitely a Love Hate relationship with the main characters. Most of the time I despise them and then you have a couple of times where you warm up to them and smile at their silly or intimate moments. I enjoyed the first book and this book had some really good twists (really good!). It was better than I expected and actually more emotional as well. I liked the multiple POVs and I never once got bored as there was always something happening. I read the book very quickly as I couldn't put it down.
Although I love the book I gave it 4 stars for some small mistakes and also some parts at the end which seemed a little bit unrealistic (i.e Knowing Liam's character it doesn't make sense that Mel was left unattended at the hospital with no guards or anything).
I'm going to pre order the third book as I want to know what happens and how it all plays out.

Yet again another amazing read from Miss Mcavoy.
This time, Liam and Melody learn the hard way that they aren't in any way untouchable.
Crazy psychopathic mothers, grandfathers crawling out of the woodwork and a delightful trip to Ireland.
Incredible and forever five stars/

Melody is on the warpath and you better look out. Love Melody ( she's my fav female character ever ) and Liam's relationship, two strong people who never give an inch. Secrets never stay secret, betrayals always hurt and someone has to pay.

Having loved the previous book 'Ruthless People' I couldn't wait to start this one, now despite the main couple both being ruthless cold blooded killers the humour and the way it was written meant I was surprisingly ok with the horrendous things they did. This book starts the same in fact I was reading it in bed and had to stop because my husband couldn't sleep for me shaking with laughter.
Favourite line is Liam taking to Mel:
"And since marriage is about compromise, I'm going to ignore you."
But this book changed, it evolved and while humour was still there and the lines were good it became a much more serious read as Mel and Liam are fighting for their lives against a ghost from her past.
Again this is a fascinating read, we have the main story with Mel and Liam plus side stories with Declan and Coraline and Neal and Olivia.
My problem is, with the previous book I just went along for the ride like I said the humour and the way it was written I just went with it and it was the same at the start of this one but once that changed and it started to become a more serious read I then looked at it differently. Now maybe it's me and not the book but once it turned to be real it then has to be and that's where my problems came, and yes you don't have to say it I know I'm too picky and yes I wish I wasn't.
I'm putting my main issue in as a spoiler just to give you an idea of what I mean but despite this I'm well and truly hooked, I didn't need the cliffhanger to make me want to continue on.
###### SPOILER ######
Liam knows Mel's mother Aviela is after her, she'd just been shot at and her bodyguard killed but yet after just giving birth and being the most vulnerable she could be she's left alone!!!

This book and the one before deserve more than 5 stars. I absolutely love the story. I love the fact that Liam and Melody are on equal terms, having 2 strong characters that fight, love, laugh and kill together makes the story so explosive. The other characters are also well blended into the story line so you have an insight on everyone's lives in the family.

yet another brilliant book in this series. I was a MASSIVELY fan after reading book 1 so I could not wait for this book!

This is a continuation of Liam and melody a story and all of the other characters you will have come to love from book 1! There is still the danger and twists from book 1 but I loved reading more about the connection and true love between Liam and melody!

This whole series has so much more depth than just a mafia romance book! I can't recommend this book enough!

Having loved Ruthless People, I was really excited to read The Untouchables. It was really good. I think it was definitely darker than the first book in the series, especially since we were getting the view points of so many different characters, rather than just Mel & Liam. Olivia became even more infuriating if you can believe it. Her presence was annoying, but necessary, I guess. I liked how we got to see a bit more of Mel's background, that was really interesting. The twist near the end was kind of horrifying, but I've come to expect horrifying twists from Miss. McAvoy. I like how Mel & Liam further developed their relationship. There was definitely a lot of character development across the board. Even characters like Fedel & Monte got their own chapters and this really helped to gain a better understanding of what makes them tick? Why they are so loyal to Mel? etc.The only kind of negative thing I can say about this book is that it ended with an outrageous cliffhanger, which left me even thirstier for American Savages than I was for The Untoucables. So is that really even a negative? I think it lived up to the first novel in the sense that it was really good. It definitely wasn't as good as Ruthless People, but it was really enjoyable.
