So this kinda took be back to school with the popular kids and the geeky nerds, being pushed around because you either weren't pretty enough or smart and couldn't hang with the cool kids…..
This is a great read, to everybody beauty is a must! But to be scored on your appearance is a whole new level to the beauty standards. If you're 20 you're a beauty, wealthy and God have everything you could wish for (just like the popular kids) if you're not you're a potential!!.
Grace bless her has an amazing heart and strong bite back confidence and has lived through it all being an 18 and then dropping down to a 11. All potential may get the chance to be sponsored by and family and ever be indebted to them for making them a beauty. Can grace please her new master so she'll get want she's wanted for so long…
Pieces aka Reese, wasn't always a beauty and was once a potential, he has this connection with Grace that she doesn't understand. He always has a sympathetic approach to her. Does he feel sorry for her? Or there something deeper? Read it you'll find it.
CE Wilson has a well written novel and I think it speaks volumes to people especially the populars and nerds, that I think everyone will connect to.
There is HEA but it's not a simple one, would love to see what happens next for them, but I think aswell Reese has a voice and would have a lot to.
Eleven is seventeen years old and has seen the best and the worst in humanity. Being passed around from owner to owner and abused by the bad, all she has ever hoped and dreamed for is the good. She has just been purchased by a wealthy man who has the ability and money to improve her life and help her become a beauty, but that whether she can put up with his erratic and unpredictable personality for long enough. Things start getting complicated with the appearance of a stunningly beautiful young man with Amethyst eyes who treads Eleven with the rarest form of attention for a potential; Kindness & Friendship.
But can Eleven trust her owner to help her escape this life of enslavement and servitude or gamble everything that the young man offers her, which is more than she could ever imagine.
This synopsis really had me intrigued, and then I started reading and was hooked from beginning to end. This is defiantly an interesting story and loved the realness of it, it just shows how quick people can judge others on their appearance and nothing more. The way C.E Wilson writes this story speaks volumes and I think that everyone will connect to this story in some way or another.
You have two very different kind of people in this story; the beauties, who get everything that want not just being flawless in looks and wealthy but they get accepted into society, get the best job there is to offer and have everything given to them. Then comes the potentials, as the name goes they show potential in there looks but they need someone to help them get to the requires score of 20 which is where the beauties come in, they buy the potentials and use them as they see fit and if they want to they can sponsor a potential and help them make the transformation into a beauty. But before that the potentials need to prove themselves and this is where the underlying problem lays for Eleven.
Eleven tries her hardest to prove she is worthy of the sponsorship, but many issue begin to get in the way.
Eleven also known as Grace has lived through it all. She may be vulnerable by the way she has to live under the control of her owner but she has enough bite and confidence to know when and where to pick her battles. You can tell she has an amazing heart and all she wants is to please her owner so that she can become the beauty that you know she already is. You can tell in just the way her thinking is that she is beautiful inside and out, and at the moment there is only one person whole believes she is more than an Eleven and he wants to help her anyway possible.
Reese is first introduced as just a voice that captures Eleven attention from the get go. During the course of the book Reese and Eleven develop a relationship that others only believe is him mentoring her to become a better potential, but he hides something that can connect them even more and Eleven doesn’t understand how deep their connection really is. Reese personality shines through this book to show his determination, kindness and his protectiveness of Eleven that no one else can understand. But is he just doing all of this because he feels sorry for her?
With a surprising twist in the last couple of chapters of this book you finally get a better understanding at what Reece’s intentions were.
I glad this book had a HEA but I would love to see what happens next for this characters as I felt this ending opened up for a sequel, and I would also love to read this book from Reece’s POV.
The story starts as Eleven is about to be sold at 17 years old to a wealthy man who wants a potential for his daughter, eleven is hoping that he will sponsor her so she can become a 20 and gain her independence, as eleven Is her number and also her name, she was originally Grace but isn’t known by that now only the number that represents her level, until that level is 20 she won’t be independent and even then, she may not get what she wants. During her 17 years Eleven has seen the worst of humanity, abused by some who have attained the goal but still aren’t happy, but she still believes that once she gets evaluated again, her last chance as you only get so many chances at being evaluated. Once she is a twenty her life will be complete.
But Eleven should know that life never runs smooth for potentials, she meets a boy with Amethyst eyes he is stunningly beautiful and makes her feel thins she hasn’t for years as he shows her kindness, something potentials are never shown, is this due to him being a former potential rather than being born in beauty or is it something more. Most importantly will Eleven trust him enough to allow herself the freedom or will she stay the course and follow the rules of her wealthy owner.
C.E. Wilson writes a world that is unthinkable after everything that we have faced in this world, but she pulls it off and you believe that there could be a world where unless you are born with good genes and breading making you naturally beautiful then you will face an uphill battle. The story is so well written that it flows and keeps you hooked from the first page to the last, I am sad to see the book finish, and will be waiting to read then next book as soon as its released. Thank you C.E. Wilson for writing an amazing story.
