This is one time that I can not write a long review, my reason would be that I'm dying to know what happens in book 3 - Unleashed. For those who are reading this review and wondering if you should read this book then I would say with no shadow of a doubt go for it. I thought Shane Dekker in book 1 was raw and badass but OMG Ripp is in a league of his own!! There were times reading this book that I didn't quite understand Ripp but that's because he is not conventional, this funny enough endeared him to me and by the end of this book he had my heart. I'm #TeamRipp!!

I originally bought this book after reading, what I later found were by the author himself, comparisons to some amazing authors. The whole 'If you liked..... you'll love this one.' It really didn't stand up to the comparison AT ALL.
I'm quite cautious about writing reviews. If something is amazing then I'll be the first to stand up there and say so but if something is just OK to me then I tend to be careful of writing a review that might sway someone else from trying it. However, this is the first time I have ever read a book that I felt was awful enough to lead me to write a low review. The first time I've ever though of contacting Amazon and asking if they'd sent the right file or maybe priced it wrongly.

What was good about the book? The prologue I loved which lead me onto buying after reading the sample. It talks of a character that you can relate to who finds herself in an awful situation.

What was bad about the book? Everything else!!
The book was very short but still leaves you with a cliff-hanger despite never really feeling like it got started.
The promising prologue was actually about a character who didn't make an appearance or mention in the book until the epilogue and even though her name appears she's there without any dialogue at all.
The other characters just didn't seem to have a 'reason'. I suppose what I mean by that is that usually what I love is when an author invests in the characters and you find out exactly what drives them and what made them the person they are. That leads you to then be able to relate to them and either love or hate them. That just didn't happen. They were just there with nothing particular interesting about the way they were. Nothing to find out about why they were drawn to each other.

Ok so here's the deal! This book is HOT!! It's start is actually really sad, and made my heart ache, but then we move on and meet Ripp! Mr Mike Ripton! And yes he is Unstoppable!! In all he does! He's a fighter who is Ripped, tattooed, pierced and hung!! What woman doesn't want to read about THAT? He also has a chuckwear fetish amongst other kinky s*** going on too!! The man is wild and has NO filter! Yup he's a child in a SEX gods body!!! But totally works it!! The first sex scene in this book is like molten lava HOT!! An epic chapter!! And the unicorn scene!?!! Oh yeah that's fun in a whole new kinda way for me!
Anyway I digress! Ripp takes what he wants, when he wants it and hasn't met a challenge too great for him until he meets Vee! The most beautiful woman he has ever seen and she basically spins his world on its axis. She's no push over either! She's one tough cookie, which just adds to his challenge. I loved their chemistry and I loved his honesty, and I totally loved the first time they got together in the bedroom! It just felt real! No need to follow the rules and prolong it eh!??!
The only downside I can say about this book is that it has kind of a cliff hanger ending!! However I'm assured by the author through Facebook (so it must be true) that I don't have long to wait for the next one!!! Which pleases me. There are also other little things throughout the story that are mentioned, the deal with Austin for example, that I can only hope are concluded in the next installment.
So in conclusion, if you want a really HOT read about an alpha male fighter who is RIPPED! And also incidentally creates his own vocabulary! Then this read is 100% for you xxx
Loved it and can't wait for the next book!! In fact I'm in pizz with this book ;p

"Things are not always what they seem; the first appearance deceives many; the intelligence of a few perceives what has been carefully hidden" ~ Phaedrus

...... a bit too deep? O.K., let's make it a bit more fun! Have you ever gotten one of those variety boxes of chocolates? You know, the ones where they all pretty much look the same, but they are filled with a variety of fillings... & they come with that oh so handy little pamphlet ,to let you know which is which...I emphasized the word little, because...imagine that handy pamphlet gets LOST!!! SHOCK HORROR! It's happened to me before, your hand hovers over the chocolates, carefully weighing up which is the most likely to be the caramel centre... you take the plunge & grab the scrumptious square of chocolate decadence, pop it into your mouth, savour that first hint of chocolate melty goodness...your teeth bite into it, in anticipation of the sweet, caramel delight &.... gaaaahhhh!!!! What the Hell!!!! perfumey, jelly-like, sickly sweet turkish delight invades your taste buds & knocks you for six!!!!

Right, at this point you are thinking "What the Hell is she going on about?"... trust me, I have a valid point her ;) Ripp, the MC, is 230lbs of tall, bald headed, muscular, tattooed, pierced, brutish testosterone! He bare-knuckle fights! He drives a red 1969 Chevelle SS & rides a motorbike....& he LOVES sex! Basically a walking hunk of "Bad Boy" testosterone!

Labelled. Unstoppable. Bad Boy. Simple.

The problem is, Ripp... or Michael Allen Ripton... is not so cut and dried, and that is what takes the story from one level to a completely different one! He is more complex... he has values, humour, fears, vulnerability...
