The writing is also evocative in that it brings alive the decades it reports on. As such it is also important social history.
Thank you to the author - I will be searching out more of your works.
crimes. As for the book and the stories I found fascinating, but also
Think there was a few similarities in the murder's, Enjoyed book!
The murders are interesting and well researched in intricate detail down to street names, which I love. So it's worth a read if you know London, (Soho is especially interesting!) or have any interest in true crime or even murder mysteries - some of them you really would not believe if it weren't for the police reports.
I found it very enjoyable and quite well written, the only down side for me is that the author has made at least one error with names. A couple of names began with the same letter in one of the cases and were clearly confused otherwise it didn't make sense. (Another reviewer commented that another of his books also disappointingly has editorial errors) It must have not been proof read properly and that's a bit of a shame. Otherwise it's good.
