Does a neat job and solves one of the biggest bains of my long LP playing life, how to get rid of that one fine hair that always seems to fold itself around the stylus no matter how clean the LP. You know the one, you can't shift it with a brush or bristle because they need to be dragged in the direction its folded. With this stuff, it just stays stuck to the goop.
It's not going to fix a stylus where stuff has basically become glued to the diamond or cantilever, they're going to need more drastic treatment. But for everything else, it's a neat solution to a difficult problem.
A word of warning, if you're going to try and clean a stylus using a fluid, make sure it doesn't contain alcohol or isopropyl alcohol because they can creep up the cantilever by capillary action and rot the suspension, even dissolve/weaken the adhesive used to attach the diamond to the cantilever. At least that's what Otofon say.
UPDATE:
Just been playing something and noticed significant distortion. Peered at the stylus, thought that looks dirty. Gave it a clean, tried again. Still distorted. Got my SLR out with macro lens and took photos. Looked like the stylus was coated in 'stuff' some of was very dark. Not like the normal light coloured 'crust' you get on a stylus. So took a dry brush to it and most came away. Decided I'd got no choice and went at it with a wet brush. Perfectly clean stylus.
It looks (to me) as if the surface of the gunk has started break down. I've been using it for a few months and have wiped it clean twice using cold water, then left to air dry. So I don't think I've been abusing it. So perhaps approach with caution and keep an eye on your stylus. Downgraded to 3 stars.

When CD's arrived in the 1980's , I got rid of all my Vinyl Records which I now regret bitterly. So now in December 2018, in spite of having many 100's of CD's which i love, I have gone mad again and bought a new Rega Planar P2 Turntable and a handful of Vinyl LP’s, I remember that in the 80’s, cleaning a very delicate and expensive stylus was always a very tricky procedure, so when I saw this new technology involving a pot of gel to clean my stylus, I was sceptical at first but have now bought a pot of Dust Buster.
I have to say that I think that the Vinyl Passion Dust Buster is a great innovation that does a great job in cleaning the stylus and is very efficient at removing fine particles of dust from the stylus tip, unlike other methods of cleaning. The one slight criticism I have is that the instructions say the ‘pot of gel should be at the same height as the record’. This can’t be achieved on the Rega Planar 2 because the platter is too high and the plinth is too low for the stylus to be laid onto the gel without doing some ‘creative engineering’ first. My solution is to Blue-tack the Gel Pot onto a stack of ten 25mm dia. washers which have been super-glued together. By doing this the Gel will be at the same height as a record on the platter of the Rega Planar P2. Other Turntables will need more or less washers to achieve the right height of the Gel Pot.

Wonderful idea this I nearly bought a brush and solution but glad I saw this as its much easier and safer to use as you just lower it into the gel via the tone arms lower lever and out no chance of damaging your stylus and because it will last for years even with daily use its very cost effective indeed. So small it sits neatly next to my tonearm ready for use. Love it.
Update to this review
After a year after purchasing this and only playing about 30 LPs at the most its stopped cleaning the stylus and just leaves the dirt on it. Went over the procedure several times doesn't help.
But....
I found out if I use some sellotape and stick it on the dust buster surface and take it off a few times it removes the dirt and brings it back to how it was when I bought it nearly. You have to use clean strips too obviously. I was able to then re use it again and it removed the dirt off my stylus again. I suppose if I keep doing this it will last a lot longer and get my monies worth

Excellent product, fast delivery.
This is the safest and most effective stylus cleaner I've used in over 40 years.
I spray clean and use a carbon fibre brush, but the VP removes a startling amount of gunk and fluff, which sticks to the gel so you can really see it working, and tell when the stylus is clean.
The result is silent backgrounds and greater dynamic range.
Cheaper than the similar Onzow product, which I haven't tried.
Highly recommended.

It works. You place the tiny little pot under the stylus and gently lower the arm. The stylus hits the gunk and when you lift it up all the dust and crud is left behind. So far so good. The problem is that the pot is so tiny, and so slippy, at some point you're going to drop it. Or it'll go skidding out from your fingers. When it does, it's going to land on the floor - worst case scenario, it'll land upside down on a carpet - and at that point you might as well chuck it in the bin because it'll be so filthy you'll never get it clean. And the price! It's completely unjustified but they know that 'audiophiles' will pay it.

I play a lot of old LPs from charity shops and they tend to shed dust even after wet and dry cleaning. Having something reusable to remove the dust between sides helps maintain sound quality.
I still find that occasionally my stylus gets completely overwhelmed and I need to clean it (very gently) with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud, but this item is fine for day-to-day cleaning.
I have a low profile Sony turntable and have no problems fitting the item beneath my raised stylus.

Not much I can say except it does what it's supposed too, I had an annoying hair tangled round my needle that I just couldn't shift and was causing my music to click or sound distorted, one quick dab into the pot and it came straight off! It did shock me exactly how small the pot is, about the size of a 2p piece but if it lasts years like it should it's money well spent if you want to look after your needle and records.
