It's very well made for the price
Very nice key fobs
Lengthy wires (Bar the horn and indicator wires) which come with clips to insert into each other so you don't have to solder anything except for the 12v constant power wire
Excellent distance from the transmitter which I hid on top of the fuse box under the steering wheel
Quite difficult to install but that really depends on the car, for example, in my polo to get the wires from both front doors I had to drill holes to put the wires from the door to underneath the glovebox and steering wheel.
The metal clamps to connect the metal rod from the actuator and the metal rod which connects to the lock, some of them were cross threading and wouldn't tighten but to solve this problem I used two tie wraps which worked perfectly and it also helped it from catching on the lip of the car's metal part
It took me a while to install it but once I'd finished and it was all working it was a great feeling.
My advice is that if you have the tools necessary i.e Drill, screwdrivers, soldering iron and solder, Torq tools (depending on the car) and also the patience and skill to do this then go ahead its great fun once it's finally installed. but if you want to save about 10 hours work (The length I took trying to find ways to put the actuators in the car was a fuss) then just go to a garage and get it done but since this is a review on the kit and not a review on my skill, I will say that this is a great kit and worth buying!
Only problem I had is that it was a bit of a pain to fit. This was more likely down to the design of my car doors than the kit itself, as the locking components were all behind the metal panels and hard to see. I personally found the rear doors easier than the front doors.
I would definitely recommend the kit, it is very adaptable, as you can cut and bend the metal rods to suit your car. I would advise having some nuts and bolts to attach the motors to the door securely. The wiring is relatively simple, I attached my red (live) wire to the cigarette lighter and earthed the black and attached the white and brown to the hazard relay.
Only downsides I had were:
-took 10 hours (and a bit of swearing) to do.
-a trip to B&Q for bolts.
But this was really more to do with my car and not the kit. I'm not a mechanic, just someone who likes to give things ago.
The trick is getting the actuators aligned correctly and then it works a treat.
Only down side was that I need a boot lock, e-mailed but had no reply, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.
