Right dont know if u remember the days of DJ Sy & DJ Hype, always scrtach mixes of the best quality, well this is the same, top notch jungle, with top mixing skills.
This guy has won the World DJ Championship 3 years in a row (first man to do so), this in it's self tells u how good he is.
the start, is sheer quality, slow bild up, he starts to create the tune by scratching, then scratching the bass, to create the tune.
let's just say it continues whith the same quality..

This has to be one of the best drum n bass mixes, i've ever heard. From the turntable master himself (3 times DMC champion) comes this "new" type of d&b from america (although most tracks are still british). It hasnt got mc's, but american rappers. With scratchin/ turntablism that could possibly give the mighty DJ Hype a run for his money! If DJ Craze ever did a back 2 back with Hype, it could possibly be the greatest set ever!

HASH(0x8b28ad8c) out of 5 stars hip hop turned dnb stylee.... 19 July 2001
By craveone - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
this record is amazing....don't be fooled, buy this cd now....
alittle history, yes dj craze has won at the dmc finals blah, blah, blah, blah...not to say that this is not important, but his history w/ dnb is beautiful....i read in an interview that craze played at a "rave" in one of the back rooms, he was still playing hip-hop, then he heard drum n bass...and heard the urban influence in the music...he then started the journey into the wonderful world of drum n bass....
the great thing about this cd, is that its not your standard mix of dnb...craze at this point, was just introduced to dnb, there wasn't any time for him to get caught up in the "stylistic" views like most dj's...he doesn't stick w/ one style of dnb, there's jazzy stuff, organic stuff, and dark stuff on the same mix cd...unlike most dnb mixes that have just one theme and can get stale at times, and loose the listeners interest, this mix is a constant breath of fresh air...
craze does magic w/ his fingers on the mixes and scratches on this piece...while building a wall of bliss w/ each track thats laid down...this is a "buy on sight" cd...don't miss it....
QUESTION: what happens when you mix a turntablist w/ drum n bass? you get a wonderful blend of beats and cutz, bow down to the real mix master, dj craze...

Your telling us that Perfect Combination, Total Science, Optical, DECODER, Usual Suspects, Distorted Minds, Brockie, and JuJu all qualify as beige record companies ??? I haven't even heard this CD yet and I can tell he is on point !!!

HASH(0x8b28afb4) out of 5 stars DJ Craze - 2xDMC Technic World Champ Turntablist shows off. 24 Oct. 2000
By SL - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
DJ Craze has won the famed DMC Technics DJ World Championships in NYC twice--no doubt he's a great turntablist. THe album begins with more hip-hoppy, fast and furious scratchy tune. You can hear him scratch the vinyls. It's pretty amazing. The rest of the album sounds mostly dark, drum & base-y.. Perhaps, the jungle tunes played on a bit too long. There's no "progression" in rythm and theme, like LTJ Bukem's. It's a pretty good album, but not great and his talent isn't really shown here.

HASH(0x8b34a600) out of 5 stars Good outing, but not DJ Craze at his best 19 Aug. 2002
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I'll have to agree with the "5 stars for mixing, 3 stars for tracks" idea. Would you expect anything less than flawless mixing from a DJ Craze studio album? First and foremost, this is not a turntablism CD. While Craze does start and end the set with his signature turntable-wizardry, he saves it for only when it truly enhances his set, so no complaints of a lack of tablism here. The flaws of this record lie mostly in his decision to use exclusive tracks sent to him by various record companies. Does "Solarize" really deserve the introduction? I don't think so. Maybe this had something to do with the fact that this is United DJs of America release, but it dosen't really matter. If you want a truly great Craze mix CD/tape, find a bootleg promo at a party. You're likely to get a great mix of both Drum 'n Bass and hip hop with more turntablism and a generally more energetic set. Maybe you'll even get an annoying emcee from the UK thrown in the mix (sorry...it had to be said).
