Product Description

Set includes: red, orange, yellow, pale green, green, light blue, blue, purple, pink, brown, white, and black. These opaque felt tip markers can write on a variety of surfaces including plastic, metal, wood, glass, plastic, plaster, canvas and more. Paint can be scraped off from nonporous surfaces like glass, etc. but will adhere permanently to porous surfaces such as wood, paper, etc. Water-based pigment ink is non-toxic, lightfast and waterproof. The ink won't bleed through paper (unlike alcohol-based markers) and is excellent for vibrant signs and craft work.

I bought these a year or so ago and bought some thicker ones more recently to speed up the colouring of large surfaces. I have constantly been pleased with these thin markers. The larger markers are good but aren't as smooth as the thin ones. The ink has started to run out on some of them but I am pleased to say that they lasted me for much longer than I expected.

The texture is great. The colours are vibrant and have a covering power similar to acrylic paint, although you may need two layers to cover dark coloured lines with a very light colour like yellow or white (see my clumsy yellow colouring touching the black line on the left border, picture on white paper). It's perfect to draw on coloured paper (see the line drawing on black paper, second picture attached). Really neat finish, slightly glossy when multilayered. They dry quickly, limiting smudging incidents for the clumsy artists out there, but not to quickly so you can work with the ink before it dries and achieve a *close to perfect* surface with minimal pen marks.

In summary: smooth lines and uniform surfaces, it's such a pleasure to work with POSCA pens. Fantastic product. I only wish there were more colours!

These seem amazing the colour are bright and they were all sealed and they are a cracking make, made by Mistubishi. They are so much cheaper than the ones my friend uses. They said they were just as good as their more expensive ones.

Well packaged, arrived in perfect condition. Took about 2 and a half weeks to arrive but this was advised at point of ordering and was as expected as were shipped from Japan. Bought to decorate wellies with and having done a small test patch look like they will work really well for that purpose. Nice fine nibs, so perfect for small detail work. Very happy with my purchase.

Bought for my daughter, for illustration work. They are, apparently, excellent and recommended for students and professionals alike. A decent price and beautifully packaged by the Japanese supplier, with a friendly note and an origami crane for luck!

I recently purchased these for the kids to use and I think I have more fun using them than they do.
I have found myself taking extra care of these and I don't let them out unless I am supervising especially when the toddler is about as she really likes to smash markers.
These markers are lovely and vibrant. I spent some time using them on an adult coloring book and I couldn't put them down.
Each marker is individually cello wrapped and each marker needs to be charged be shaking and pressing down.
Take care however, if you shake too vigorously you may force too much paint to come out.
This particular set is amazing value at under £15. The nibs are a medium size. There is a finer point sent with more colors, which I also purchased and love. Keep in mind that it is acrylic paint and therefore not permanent on all surfaces. It will wash away. On white paper thought it's lovely. I don' t think you will be disappointed with this set if you are just trying out this brand.

Top drawer stuff. With these pens you suddenly feel your skills have improved -- when in fact it's the remarkable technology behind the Posca. Love them and use them everywhere I can as they amplify what I can do with colour.

these are great i'm not sure if they all work yet but the ones i have used are great.
i already have an "on the run" fine line pen which has the same type of nib and also has acrylic paint. these are actually better.
i loved the on the run pen but i have had some problems with it clogging up and leaking when i'm trying to get it working again. i have used these a few times and when i go back to them the paint is flowing fine.

My first impression was of absolute delight, but after using them I have found them very disappointing.

Firstly I find the nibs a bit rough for my sketch book paper, some of the pens are smoother than others, but for fine work they rough up the paper. These pens have a super fine nib so are ideal for signing small canvas's or doing fine work on pebbles. BUT. Because the nib is so fine, I found canvas to be a bit bumpy to wok with and my sketchpad is a bit too fragile to work with.

You prime the pens each time you use them, so if you are using multiple pens for small details, the need to prime can be a bit of a pain.

For dot work on pebbles, they seem good but small. What is hugely disappointing overall is that I have attempted to varnish pebbles and canvas and these paints just smear ruining my work. Normal acrylic paint is just fine with varnishing, but these smudge even after days of drying. Also if you lay another colour over the top of the paint it smudges.

So these paints have ruined a few or my art works because of this issue.
