I love to think of this collection of short stories as a fascinating landscape, with thirteen different paths which seem to lead to a magical place at the far horizon...Discover it path by path...whether it runs under shiny bright skies, or dips into dark clouds, storm and chilly fog...Not only will you enjoy each path for the path's own sake... but also find the pot of gold waiting for you at the end of each walk...And these pots of gold are meant to be accessible, no matter how enchanted! Solely someone who is a true heir of the ancient bards can put so much essence into even the shortest of stories. Stephen Mullaney-Westwood - a modern-day Taliesin with love and light and deep wisdom in his soul. Read... then read again...and again...

The paperback version of this book is well designed and offers up a lot of variety for the price. While not all of the short stories are masterpieces and i wished some were more elaborated on, there are some stories I'll never forget. Stand out stories to me are "The Prince's Music" The story where I connected the most to the protagonist in his limited page time. A Prince who plays the music of his soul is suffocated by who he's supposed to be and wants to find someone who can understand his music. "Back to the woods" a tale about friendship and perusing happiness, and "The Recluse" which is a haunting story about an unlucky girl finding herself on the wrong side of a curse. (Not to spoil too much) With it's macabre imagery yet hopeful spirit this book makes me excited to read "Forgotten Things".
