I am a big Nora Roberts fan and its great to see her books slowly being released on Kindle, best to check you haven't already read this before buying or if you have (like me) sit back and re-read a great little romance.

Vanessa Sexton has been away touring (she plays piano) and is back in her home town Hyattown. while trying to repair the relationship she has with her mum and finding out some secrets along the way she runs into her old flame Brady Tucker, the once reckless boy may have become a solid, dependable man, but to Vanessa He is still the boy who stood her up on the most important night of her life; can she ever trust him again, Brady can't believe she hasn't forgiven him for that night twelve years ago--but he'd had his reasons for not showing up. He'd let her leave town then--but he wasn't going to let her get away this time...

This was a great book to read on holiday or get comfty at home and get stuck in it has great characters and the relationship between Vanessa and her mum is a great side bit to the book, was great to re-read this as its been awhile so some bits are a bit dated (clothes and prices for piano leasons etc) but it doesnt spoil the story .

Liked this, thought it would be an easy summer read, but there were several little off shoots to the tale l really enjoyed. Vanessa is a concert pianist who has been moulded by an over ambitious father who has literally taken her from her mother to punish her.
After his death, Vanessa returns to her home town to find some answers, and it's not easy. Her old boyfriend, Brady, is now a as doctor, and they pick up their relationship again.

Light bedtime reading but like all Nora Roberts well written. If this gets back to Nora, I am a great fan but could do with a little less graphic sex. I am a ladyof exprperience and have had tow good husbands and while the sexy bits don't offend me they d bore me a bit as I think "Been there, done that, bought the tee shirt". God gave me a good imagination and Ilike to use it for th sloppy bits.

I decided to give it a try, but a romance novel is not for me, I didn't find this interesting enough. I understand that a romance usually has a happily ever after. While that's not a bad thing, it takes away from some of the mystery. I couldn't relate to the characters, US characters, I'm British.

It was easy to read in that understanding what was happening was easy, but challenging to read in that it wasn't exciting for me or making me care what happened. So I found myself looking forward to finishing it.

The cover doesn't match anything from the book, I don't remember a scene like that in it.

I'd recommend this book. Nora Roberts evokes her understanding of how individuals should feel motivated to 'find' and appreciate themselves, before taking on anymore responsibilities. She knows how to get girls to swoon, as Dr Tucker would be craved by any adolescent female. Nice, heartwarming relationships with the limelight being on the fact that you can be reborn and view things through different eyes, no matter what the past is like. Nora Roberts, you're an intelligent author.

What a wonderful emotional ending. This story was very romantic and poignant from the beginning. It was such a struggle for Van and her mother to reconnect again and for her to see her father for what he had been. So much lost youth and opportunities. It was nice to see it all worked out in the end.
