To get specific, this new Kindle edition (with the spotty cover) is an improvement on previous. Some typos have been corrected and formatting works well; it's readable without noticing paper versions came first.
Also, the cues of the radio play version Thomas left at his death (you'll often see "Narrator's voice" cued in the text) have been removed, turning it into a proper epic poem rather than a script. (It seems to be the full version of the play, not the shortened versions often broadcast.)
There's also a good introduction that places the "play for voices" in context with other work Dylan was doing at the time, and the immense influence writing for radio had.
So - if you don't own a copy, this edition of the Welsh "Ulyssees" works very well. £4 well spent.
It comes on 2 CDs, but it ripped very easily to MP3 and I put the discs away in a safe place. There were a few background notes on the insert, but who needs to read notes when you can just close your eyes and let the words wash over you?
A pleasure to have read it again.
