What's not to like indeed? This is one intensely emotional and sizzling hot read. Not only is the sex awesome, it's the characterization I fell in love with. Such detail and depth that I had a hard time putting this book down. I have found a new favourite author!
I feel like this book accurately presented the BDSM lifestyle and how it is introduced to a person who has no or little experience in the lifestyle. I respect this author greatly for the way she incorporated this aspect into her story.
With that being said, there is a plot involved within this story that sparks your interests and holds it. The writing is concise and descriptive.
I recommended this book to a friend already who bought it off the recommendation. It is my hope that this review will allow others to purchase the book too.
You will be delighted with this book.
What follows is page after page of kindle-sizzling sex - Jamie gets back in touch with his Dom side and Erica loves it. It turns out that's what they've been missing all along...
Initially Erica came off like a cold-hearted cow - forcing her husband out of his own home? And replacing or rearranging all of his furniture? Not allowing her husband or his family to see their daughter? But then I realised she was just scared and alone and she reacted by being a Filofax wielding, OCD control freak. But then again Jamie let her... He was such a pushover!
Their joint exploration of BDSM, especially for Erica who was a complete novice, was really sweet and kind of innocent. The scenes were really hot and written well - although Erica's inability to say the word 'pussy' without stuttering was irritating (I hate the word too but I can say it).
All in all a surprisingly good read. Would I continue with the series? Definitely book 2 which I think focuses on Dani and William... Not so sure about book 3 which is a M/M romance and not really my thing. There's a prequel too which I'm hoping will focus on the earthquake that this book kept referring too.
