Product Description

About the Author

I am a Domestic Engineer (born and raised in NJ) whose sole responsibility is to guide three young impressionable kids into becoming phenomenal adults. This challenging, yet rewarding work requires a lot of love (coffee), patience (wine) and determination (periodic exorcisms). I work all of this magic in the beautiful state of New Hampshire. Before becoming a Domestic Goddess (not really), I spent over a decade working in the medical field where I wore more hats than the Queen. I have had a love for the written word and the great escape it provides since I was a little girl. When I wasn't reading about people and the places they lived, I was creating my own characters and adventures. Having found myself again, through my writing, with The Lost & Found Series, The One, and The GEG Series, has been nothing short of a dream come true. Also, it makes people feel better when I laugh randomly or talk to myself, knowing it's my characters and not "the voices" . . . that would be creepy.

eh.
It was ok. Light, easy, fun, a little silly. Just what I wanted and expected.

The absolute overuse of the word Baby though, drove me mental. Literally every sentence had baby in it. Sometimes more than once. I'm not against pet names but if my husband called me baby about 7 times in a brief conversation I'd want to poke his eyes out. There's affectionate and then there's just annoying.

I read a lot of books so it takes a lot to grab my attention x but boy this does, I started reading it at 2am this morning and finishing 12 hours later with sleep inbetween, Its an amazing book and made me giggle in certain bits with the text messages between the two of them.

They have their moments and need to talk about a lot but there is a few things that should be expanded on more, but maybe they will in the next book which I have already downloaded to read :)

I've read a lot of books lately that have been good books but have only managed a 4* out of me. This is because something hasn't been quite right. Well today <insert totally smiley face> I have awarded Under Contract 5*, full marks.

I couldn't fault the character development. I couldn't fault the story line or the execution of the story. I couldn't even fault the editing!! A top notch book that once you start reading, you will have great difficulty putting it down.

This is not another Fifty Shades...might seem like it with the contract etc. But trust me, there are reasons as to why Mitch starts off with a contract. He has been hurt in the past and it's his way of protecting himself from more heartbreak but at the same time, gives him everything you would come to expect from a girlfriend without the emotional ties.

Mitch began knowing exactly what he wanted but then, like all carefully planned out things, you can't plan for when your heart kicks in.

Charlotte is a brilliant character. She's no doormat. She's gone into this arrangement for one reason and isn't afraid to bite back when she needs to!

The secondary characters will have you laughing your head off...especially the 12 year old girl type banter the girls have with each other! Kyle was a great workmate/best mate, and him and Mitch cracked me up with their non-gay flirty banter with each other!!

This story is also very VERY hot, definitely more than a twitch and maybe as far as a splash lol

I don't know what to say about the story without giving away the plot so all I will say is, you seriously need to read this book and immerse yourself in the brilliance that this author has created.

Absolutely Brilliant. What a Fab first book this was, the humour was good, the sex was good, the storyline was good, what else can I say, it was a really good read, and I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys all these topics. The book on the whole is well written, lets hope we don't wait too long for book 2.

This one is not for me. This idea has been done too many times now...bit of daft idea in the 1st place so I don't quite get why people keep copying it. This version of the same story was just too cheesy for me throughout. SPOILER ALERT The most unnecessary cheese for me being the foundation that was set up in the epilogue? I don't think the author quite new what it was meant to be about and I certainly didn't? The ending was very rushed as well...felt like the author ran for the finishing post and forgot to mention the conclusion of the surrogacy, which should have been explored more. It's almost as if she mentioned it in passing and failed to follow through. If you're going to mention something as big as that it should be researched, explored and followed through to the end in the story...otherwise it's not worth bothering surely?
I didn't particularly like the main female lead's friends. I think the author was aiming for sassy and funny?...unfortunately for me it just came across as immature and a bit lame and ridiculous...cringe worthy in some places.
The use of pet/joke names for each other's sexual organs seemed a bit juvenile and ridiculous to me, especially given the supposed ages of the 2 main characters.
2 stars instead of 1 though from me because the writing style was actually OK. I've definitely read worse. Needs less cheese, to be less juvenile and to have more originality.

This may be the hardest review I have had to write in a while!
Where to start...

As always this will be a spoiler free review.

I love Jacqueline's writing style, this story has an amazing fun feel to it, despite some difficult topics.

When faced with a very difficult situation Charlotte (Charley) puts on her big girl panties for the sake of her children and their future stability.
I truly admire her for the courage taken to follow through with her decision.

It has been said of Charley, "you've got a pair on you, don't you?!" To which she replied "and a spare set for backup, just in case."
She certainly is a ballsy lady, and so amazing to keep going no matter what obstacles come her way.
She is surrounded by such a loving group of family & close friends.
Her father aptly named 'Happy' is such an amazing man, always head of the 'Charley fan club'.
Her sister Cici is crazy, the woman was born with no filter & god love her for it, I can't wait for her book!

Mitchell (Mitch) has been hiding from a tragic past, barely living, putting everything he has into his successful business. Only taking time out for his grandmother (Gram) who he is very close to. She may be old & deaf but boy can she be LOUD when she needs to be, she definitely lost her filter a long time ago.

His only 'friend' is his employee/right hand man Kyle, a man of few words but what he does say sure can pack a punch.

Each character is uniquely funny but together they have this playful, sarcastic banter that can lighten any situation, they are HILARIOUS!

I "wan'smore"

Did I mention I was on a very packed train while reading this? Yeah I was the crazy lady giggling at her kindle but it was so worth the stares.
