I loved Lizzie and Nick, they make such a lovely couple. It was great to see her walls come down which she had erected after Teagan left. She is now a hardworking single mother who has sorted her life out and got back on a path where she can be happy, until she gets the fateful phone call about her brother.
Nick is there for her as her friend and helps her through the really hard times. They do become more than friends and when they do they are the perfect couple.
Struggling with Teagan’s betrayal and abandonment Lizzie pushes herself to succeed for her son. With her family supporting her in any way they can she does an amazing job of getting on her own two feet and making something of herself. Convinced she will never love again because she couldn't bear being hurt again she closes her heart off to any man…until she meets Nick.
Nick…oh what to say about him. From their first meeting I loved him. Loved how he treated her…so sweet! Successful and attractive he seems to have it all and Lizzie finds herself immediately attracted to him but refuses to go down that old road again. Together, Nick and Lizzie find an amazing friendship combined with a mutual attraction they try to fight. Will a surprise from Lizzie’s past and tragedy be enough to make them both realize they belong together and that wasting the precious time they have together is not worth it?
This story was even more of a roller coaster ride than the first! It takes a lot to make me cry in a book…but I will completely admit this one had me balling like a baby! I love this series and cannot say enough good things about it so go and grab it now!!!
Lizzy is still in tatters at the start of this book, life is still hard. Still not looking for love Lizzy is feeling isolated until she meets Nick,in a café one lunch time. Clearly a hot man she is surprised when he asks her out on a date. Things are not what they seem and though the attraction is there Lizzy makes it plain she's only looking for friendship. The past rears it's ugly head and the trip to Ireland throws Lizzy into a spin.
I instantly fell in love with the character of Nick. The Phish concert was delight. Lizzy continues to prove her strength of character even if she is a little blinkered at times.
