From the very first time i heard Tikket i was hooked on this band! After the death of the first sing i was gutted especially when i thought that was it for Crashdiet but the came back with a brilliant album showing they still have got what it takes. I still prefer Daves vocals to the new singer but he still pulls it off pretty well. In the raw is by far my most favourite on this album, the whole thing is pretty rockin'.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Unusual Lyricswriter 23 April 2010
By Akiko Maekawa - Published on Amazon.com

Let me review this as their "lyrics" translator. I cannot talk about "sound" well. Although their backing vocals are wonderful as always.

The debut one is almost Dave Lepard album. (Well, strictly, I think Crashdiet itself might be a Dave's band forever) However, this IS Martin Sweet album. Means, the main lyrics creator is that lead guitarist. Words rule. Of course he made music with bands also. He does not sing but the words belong to him. Yes, like Nikki Sixx.

"I Don't Care (featuring Mick Mars)" is the most mighty of all. There are a couple of "all night pains in the darkness" songs. They show how Sweet suffered from the loss of Lepard, the founder/frontman of the band. He must have many sleepless nights. And they made him that much mature and now leads the band, but humbly.

Very dark and heavy. Not attractive plainly. Hard and tough to listen to 11 songs through. But please imagine their early history. They were quite young. Highs and lows in Stockholm, Sweden...they WERE ready for the world... This album does not have light rock n' roll nor mellow ballad. There is Boys' reality with tricky, twisted expressions.

Not kind at all. But surely it's gonna be legendary. So a must.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crashdiet fail to disappoint 10 July 2010

Crashdiet released their second album "Unattractive Revolution," in 2007. The album featured new front-man Oliver Twisted (of Reckless Love fame), taking over vocal duties for the deceased Dave Leppard. The "Unattractive Revolution" seems to be more dominated by Martin Sweet than was "Rest In Sleaze. This album rocks a little harder, while still keeping that melodic edge the Swedish are so well known for.

How does "Unattractive Revolution" compare to "Rest In Sleaze" you ask? Well, honestly the only thing I could find that made a difference to me was the inclusion of Twisted on vocals. This album is a five-star outing the whole way around in my opinion. I couldn't tell you a song that I use the next button on, and Ollie is a more than capable vocalist in his own right. I know many fans only liked what Dave had to offer, but for my money Ollie was just as stout on the mic. While naming favorites is almost pointless, that's just what I do guys! My favorite tracks off this record are "In The Raw," "XTC Overdrive," "Falling Rain," "Thrill Me" and "Die Another Day."

This album is just another testament to the awesomeness that is coming from Sweden these days, and Ollie does a cut-up job as Dave Leppard's replacement. If you like any of the new Swedish stuff these days, this is just about the most logical place to start people in my mind. No way fans of melodic rock will be disappointed, and you'll be supporting real rock music folks!

I have to say this CD is just amazing. It contains great songs and the cover design is really fun. Crashdiet is one of the best bands nowadays and The Unattractive Revolution is a must have!
