I wanted to read an MC book so I decided to give UnKiss me a go. I was a little disappointed to be honest. It wasn't what I was expecting.
The storyline was ok but I was expecting it to be more like a real MC where I found this more like a protection detail. I didn't see much of the MC lifestyle.
I have to admit I guessed Eden's secret long before we found out about it. I couldn't understand her reasoning for not telling Jasper, sure he hurt her but he deserved to know the truth.
I felt like the story was left on the edge of a great story but was cut short. I'm looking forward to getting to know the other couples.
This book while I don't think it was one of the best books had me hanging on to every word, anticipating what came next.
Eden calls on the Angels Warriors MC for protection for herself and her little sister from her father. The Angels Warriors are known for protecting women and children. Eden didn't realise that the president of the MC is Jasper who broke her heart years ago.
I really loved this story. As secrets unfold between Eden and Jasper I was gripped. Great romantic suspense filled with drama. I loved it and can't wait for more of this series.
The characters seem alright to begin with but as the story went on, I found I didn't really like any of them especially Eden even though I did feel sorry for her.
It has a dual POV, Eden and Angel (Jasper) used to be high school sweethearts. Misunderstandings caused them to part and Eden left town, only to return when she's needed to look after her little sister. Jasper finds out she's back when she asks the MC for help as her violent, abusive father is soon to be released from prison. Jasper's determined to make her his again - but Eden has secrets.
It has flashbacks to backstory constantly and its too much. It spoils the flow of the story, I'd prefer more detail on the present day story with more character development.
It's not for me and I think I've been generous with three stars. It's also too expensive and there are lots of other books like this, with a similar storyline, but much better.
Suitable for older readers due to content.
