And so McFly unleash the joint fourth single from Wonderland, on Side A, the fabulous, jaunty and jumpy Ultraviolet. A favourite from their "Wonderland Tour 2005", and complete with a video that has all the best bits from that tour (including the guys on top of a piano naked- don't ask!), it's no surprise this one has become a single.
Then on Side A, the wonderfully chilled, acoustic riffs of The Ballad Of Paul K, a song about the perils of being a 40 something male, complete with McFly's weirdest video to date, looking like a cross between a Tim Burton movie and Gladys, the weird portrait thing Pheobe once gave Rachel in Friends. With this track, I think it's a case of great song, shame about the video. But I still love it anyways, and all weird videos aside, this deserves to be Christmas #1 for 2005. SO GO AND BUY IT!
