The Ultimate Hits is a deluxe 3 disc set from the fastest selling solo artist in music history, Garth Brooks, who sold in excess of 100 million albums in just ten years. Garth’s body of work propelled country music as a genre to the front pages of newspapers worldwide and the covers of magazines, to the point where Forbes declared on its cover "Country Conquers Rock." And, he accomplished it without courting pop radio. Garth’s attitude was – let the pop audiences come to country.
The Ultimate Hits is just that—a collection of Garth’s career blockbusters. The three-disc set is a combination of two CDs and one DVD. The CDs and the music boast of his familiar and popular ballads, such as “The Dance,” “To Make You Feel My Love” and “The Thunder Rolls”. The Hits also contains the upbeat classics, “Friends In Low Places” and “Ain’t Goin’ Down,” along with the new favourite “Workin’ For A Livin’” with Huey Lewis. Other new cuts include the carousing song “Midnight Sun” and the moving and beautifully-performed bonus track “Leave A Light On.” The DVD completes the package with 33 music videos, most of which had never been seen before this collection’s initial release in 2007. Above all, this 3 disc collection showcases exactly who Garth Brooks is--the songwriter, the artist, the entertainer.

34 songs across two CDs and a DVD with 33 videos for £12.99? Good value in anyone's money I feel! And just look at some of these classics - "Standing Outside The Fire", "American Honky Tonk Bar Association", "Friends In Low Places", "If Tomorrow Never Comes" (the original! Not Ronan's paper-thin copy!), "Beer Run" with George Jones, "Good Ride Cowboy" (GB's tribute to the great Chris LeDoux), "Callin' Baton Rouge", "Thunder Rolls" .... truly something for everyone!!
Garth Brooks has been releasing country music since 1989. He is one of the best selling country artists in America. This collection has been No.1 over there already.
I have been a fan of Garth Brooks since 1989 and have his complete collection of everything he has ever released, some I have purchased from Amazon USA as they have not been released over here in the UK.
I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert in Sheffield in October 1994 and he was fantastic.
If you want to start collecting his albums then this is a must buy and at £12.99 this is a bargain for what you get (2CD's containing over 30 tracks as well as the DVD).
Each one of his albums are now available over here digitally remastered so go on check them out you won't be disappointed.
I have ordered three copies (two of them are for christmas presents).
Do check out Amazon UK and Amazon USA to start your collection, you will not be disappointed.
Garth Brooks remains one of the best artists ever, all types of music included.
has had a string of wonderful hits that are all on this double CD
+ the "gift" of a DVD where all these hits can be seen. Besides,
the price of this "triple disc" offer is incredible. So much for
This double compilation is great however. Many of the songs I already knew, but Good Ride Cowboy is a cracker and it's been a joy discovering new music from someone who hasn't been doing much recording these past few years. Apart from the DVD being unplayable which was a disappointment I would have rated this the full 5 Stars.
