Enter Jade, the hero of this show who's grown up on Hillys and grown up with war all around her. The army of Hillys defends the people. The Alpha Sections, the super defense for the planet, are meant to be doing the same thing.
But there's a consipracy involving the Domz, which goes deeper than anyone imagines. And it's up to Jade to uncover it, and deliver the truth to the public.
This is a great game with huge replayability value. There is so much to do. You can either follow the story straight through, or if you want, you can enter your hoverboat in a race, or go chasing after bandits, or searching through lost caves, playing games with the locals, the list is endless (well, almost endless).
But if you play straight through, you're in for a ride, the action sequences are something else considering your in control of most of the action. Die a few times, that's fine, just go back and try again, you'll get an adrenalin rush each time, it's the kind of thing the movies haven't even caught up with yet.
The more emotional bits on the other hand will have you reaching for a tissue (then again, maybe that was just me)
Finally, the puzzels are fairly straight forward, but that's good because it doesn't slow the game down. You simply go with the flow and mroe often than not, the solution just presents itself. Maybe not for the gamer who does like to think a lot about the next part, but for those who just like to get the job done, this is definately for you. (don't worry, it's not overly easy, just because you can see the solution doesn' mean it's that easy to get to it!)
To all, I'd suggest buy this game, it'll keep you entertained for hours and is deeply satisfying.
In my opinion the game has an ideal balance between combat and stealth and there are a few head-scratching problems but none that are too difficult to work out! Although the graphics are slightly dated now this really doesn't detract at all from game play. The characters are lively, the game creates a real sense of urgency and peril and even the cut-scenes and dialogue are quite enjoyable!
My only criticism is that there were a few 'timed runs' across obstacle courses which were VERY difficult and it can become very frustrating as there is no 'Quick Save' option - you have to reach a designated post before you can save the game. Also the final boss was a little bit infuriating and only after referring to the online walk-through was I able to defeat it. I have no idea how people could succeed in this game without having a peek at the walk-through to be honest!
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable game and I honestly cannot wait for the sequel!
It is beautiful and atmospheric (the music's an excellent match for the game) with a variety of combat action, stealth, collecting pretty pearls, racing, taking pictures of nature - fabulous! The story line is compelling and there's plenty of humour.
Just in case it's relevant to anyone else's experience, I was a bit confused with the opening scenes, having to do combat with little understanding of the controls, but please don't be put off, because it's not too difficult and after this it's an absolute dream of a game.
The game was really enjoyable and the plotline was very entertaining. The bad thing about the pc version was that the games graphics are very slow and the videos are outta sinc with the audio.
