Product Description

The Doctor has been summoned by his old friend Winston Churchill but in the Cabinet War Rooms, far below the streets of blitz-torn London, he finds his oldest enemy waiting for him... The Daleks are back! And can Churchill really be in league with them? The Ironsides were designed to be the perfect warrior, after the concept was dreamt up by Professor Bracewell, seemingly from nowhere. In actual fact, these new weapons which Winston Churchill wanted to use to win the war were in fact Daleks, who had fallen back through time and needed the Doctor to be able to create the new Dalek race. Professor Bracewell was in fact an android built by the Daleks, part of a complex trap to lure the Doctor back to where they were hiding, so he would unwittingly allow the Dalek race to be reborn thanks to his testimony. The new Daleks appeared, and exterminated the Ironsides. Supplied in classic themed packaging.

It's a lovely set, especially the Dalek with the tea tray. Ever since that was shown on television, I wished for that specific Dalek. Never mind that in the series they don't survive and get replaced by the so-called new Paradigm Daleks (and those even look like toys on screen). It's the "would you care for some tea" question, and the Dalek that brings it to the professor, that gets remembered. This Dalek is not really to be used as a toy I feel as it is a little fragile, but to show off it is an excellent piece of work! And if you use it as a showcase item, it will probably be quite durable.

I don't care so much for the phones and Winston, but that's just me. I believe Winston is at least made in a very acceptable likeness (to the Sir Winston in the series), so for those who are more into that kind of action figures it is a nice set as well. For all Dalek fans: this is a treat.

HASH(0x9540233c) out of 5 stars WOULD YOU LIKE SOME TEA?? 12 Jan. 2014

I Love these figures! These come from one of my MANY favorite episodes. They even added the tea! :) even though the tea can't be removed, the detail is lovely

I simply had to get this one. How many other people in America can boast of their very own toy Prime Minister? Now admittedly the figurine resembles the actor portraying Churchill rather than the great man himself, but looking past that, it is a good set. And one other thing:I open my figurines, for I see myself as a collector and not a curator. This set may need to stay in the box. The background and the desk inside rather precludes opening. And besides, what would I do with the three phones inside (besides answer them?)

This is such a cool set. I loved that episode of Doctor Who and I love reading about that era of history, so having an action figure of Winston Churchill with the maps, phone and desks and the Dalek with the teacup is really funny on my dresser with the other figures. I'm not into all the makeup and perfumes....I'd rather look at those in the mornings.

I have other Daleks and the detail on them is pretty simple, pretty much the shape is captured but that's it. This Dalek is very detailed down to the Union Jack emblem on the top face of the Dalek. Definitely an upgrade to my collection.

The pack is incredible and the detail is superb. It is probably my most favorite Dalek toy collection set so much so they haven't even been taken out of the box. They are resting happily on my shelf with my other collectibles.
