Once again, Jo Raven has created realistic characters that you want to sweep up and keep them safe!
I did struggle with Tyler at the start of the book and throughout Asher - what kind of brother would leave his younger sibling in such conditions? But it didn't take long for Jo Raven to prove why Tyler was worthy of her reader's love. Upon learning the truth about Tyler, I forgive him wholeheartedly. Like Asher, he broke my heart and I couldn't stop reading until I knew the whole story.
Thanks to Jo's amazing writing, you feel like you are living the story with her characters, Tyler's problems were my problems, he fears were my fears, his happy moments were mine. It takes a hell of writer to transport you right into the story which completely engrosses you, so much so that your boyfriend had to physically remove the kindle from your hands to grab your attention.
Keep them coming Jo!
With physical scars reflecting the trauma of his earlier years, there is only one woman Tyler can rely on. One face that gets him through the day and one voice he can follow out of his nightmares.
The only problem is she doesn't want him anywhere near her and she told him as much.
Flawed heroes and heroines are Jo Raven's specialty, along with a supporting cast of characters whose stories you find yourself itching to know.
I enjoyed this so much that I've already started Asher and next on my list then is Zane.

I especially like how Tyler and Ash are able to repair their relationship. True to the series, I love that Jo writes characters that are deeply damaged, yet still love and fiercely protect those around them.
Tyler was just introduced at the end of Asher's book. The author was brilliant at selecting him as her next main character. The reader is intrigued by this newer character and it allows time for the other main characters to work their way into our hearts and we start to crave more of their stories.
This book was very well written and quite raw and dark--I like this! Tyler is amazing--intelligent, sexy, inked, damaged, emotional. He has been through Hell and is starting to actually live to tell about it.
Erin was Tyler's teenage love that he left for three years before returning to see his brother, Asher. Erin has her own secrets but holds the key to helping Tyler face his demons. And her secret is life altering.
The two together are magnetic, on fire. The scenes are HOT and will leave you begging for more. This author knows how to write. Wow!!
The author does a great job of developing the other characters in this series and leaves me waiting on pins and needles for the next story.
Love this series!
And than when you get to the second book in this series you get to find out why Tyler and Erin attitude is intriguing. They gone through so much that it's not even funny, and Tyler oh he made me cry I'm so glad I read this book.
I enjoyed it and love the characters and how the book turned out to be now I'm so ready to read the third book in this series.
Tyler had a very unstable and abusive relarionship with his dad growing up. But he knew he had to leave the only place he called home in order to save his brother. He knew that in order to protect his brother he had to leave the girl who had his heart and soul behind.
Erin was just a young teenaged girl but she knew what it felt like to have her heart ripped put of her chest. But she knew she had to carry on mind love life the only way she knew how. She lived it with her heart broken but her chin heald high and walls completely built up around her.
When Tyler came back to his home town after his dad died and his brother Asher was fighting for his life. He never dreamt he would see Erin again. She is still the one who holds his heart and makes him whole. Erin walks into Damage Control (tattoo shop) to drop off Zane's keys and runs into the one person she never thought she would see again. Even after 4 years of not seeing each other Tyler and Erin have intense chemistry and off the charts sexual tension. But will their secrets keep them separated or bring them closer together?
Tyler was so broken. He and Asher's father was truly evil. I like how Tyler tried to repair his relationship with Asher and continued to try even when Asher wouldn't give him a chance. Erin was always there for him when he needed her and together they were able to heal each other.
