About the Author
Leon Links, who lives in Amsterdam, is a fishing journalist and school teacher. He was first introduced to the flytying material CDC by fellow Dutch author and angler Kees Ketting, in the early 1980s. Since then he has fished with CDC flies on the difficult rivers of the Belgian Ardennes with remarkable success and has become an enthusiastic convert to the miraculous qualities of this special feather. An accomplished flytyer himself, Links is well known in European flytying circles, and his research for his book Tying Flies with CDC, took him to many parts of Europe, interviewing fellow experts, tying CDC flies and fishing with them. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

The book was very informative on origins, development and their uses in fly tying, it is also very well illustrated on how to prepare and tie many types of flies.
I am working my way through this excellent book and look forward to tying many of the pattens shown and putting them to use on the water.
This book is highly recommended for those intricate pattens that will catch difficult and fussy fish.

Very good lacks some detail for a beginner but I'm sure the Internet can fill in the gapsPublished 15 months ago by paul mcalinden
Well documented book. Could do with clearer instructions of how to use the CDC I feel. It is a delicate feather and is sometimes hard to work with.Published on 18 Feb. 2013 by Gordon Lane
