if you have any sense, buy this album now (especially if you're a guitar player, this is not one of those "solos don't work for the song" kinda band - the solos are full-on metallica/van halen style). if you dont have any sense, try listening to the clips on the site and maybe downloading a song or two, and then make up your mind for yourself.
the lyrics are intelligent and there is a good mixture of happy and depressing songs. when you listen to the songs you can tell the band are majorly influenced by metal, with most of the songs mixing the best drumming i have ever heard (not just in the punk genre either, he is THE best and i'm a fan of metal bands such as metallica, slipknot and chimaira), awesome riffs and solos, solid bass, and emotional lyrics ("it's so much more than a cry for attention, no loving hand can soothe this ache" - mind of my own).
i would urge any sane person to buy this, it is probably the best album i have bought since sublime's 40oz to freedom.

released in 1998 this is punkier in a more direct way than their more metal like punk of modern years but its also high brow, more like nofx and rancid to my ears but a very confident and brilliant album, chiming with great melodies and a great sense of confidence. Worth a punt for sure. I would feel better giving this a 3.5 out of 5 as I prefer their recent albums but this could grow on me even more, the band has that appeal for sure,
