I don’t even know where to start my review... I’ve read many dark books, some disturbing, but dark romance is my favourite, and Twist Me tops them all for me. Why? I’m a romantic at heart. I want my hero/anti-hero to have some element of tenderness, and not just on the odd occasion. Julian ticks that box, as I’m absolutely sure he does for a lot of women. Yes, he’s a monster. Yes, he kidnaps, rapes, and beats the girl he wants, but after it all ( “if I even so much as mention needing hand lotion, he gets it on his next trip“ ) he’ll give her whatever she wants/needs, and by the end, Nora wants pleasure mixed with pain--Julian. She hungers for him in the night, in her dreams, during the day when she’s walking around in a numb state (when you read this, you’ll understand why). The most interesting factor of Twist Me is that, Julian doesn’t pussy foot around in ‘trying’ to make his girl a submissive, in asking her to just try. He teaches her, whether she likes it or not, and there’s nothing Nora can do about it. I like that. Want a sub? Hey, let’s kidnap a girl and make her a sub/masochist to the point where she can’t live without me, and he does. I’ve read the whole trilogy 100 times, and you know what, I’ll read it again, and again, and again. It’s not for the faint hearted. Trigger warnings and so on, but if you don’t like dark romance, then don’t read it. Simple.
Worth every penny and one of the best books I have read for ages x
Could put my kindle down way more exciting than the fifty shades trilogy
Would fully recommend this trilogy
Brilliant and great reading books.
