Amazing! lovely packaging (very inventive) and the show itself is stunning, who'd have thought they could resurrect this so well! The discs themselves are nicely and clearly laid out and you can watch episodes 1&2 and 3&4 as feature length episodes or individually which is a nice touch.

Only one obvious conclusion!

Have been a fan of TP from the very beginning more than 25y ago and i was so pleased to learn there would be a sequel. But i also was a bit aprehensive it might turn out differently from what i was expecting and/or hoping for, as is the case with too many a sequel. Watching this series i was constantly left with mixed feelings. Lynch and Frost have retained their sense of humor, drama and the bizarre, but sadly enough they decided to do without the supporting act of Badalamenti’s superb music without which the original series would not have been nearly as great. Nor did they made much of an effort to incorporate any music at all, thats to say, in a meaningful way, but i understand very well it was their intention all along, to leave the viewer wondering if and when the true TP series would ever see the light of day again, as was the case with the supporting act of Twin Peaks, the town, itself. As with Badalamenti’s music Lynch &Frost didn’t want to acknowledge the importance of this “actor”, nor of the original cast, who only play minor almost suppressed roles, with the exception of Gordon Cole himself and luckily Cooper, who’s character is now divided literally into two, not counting 2 extra clones of him...The old cast looks really old, and the story has so many different lines and new characters that viewer is left with two options: needing to see more of it, or trying to make sense of it all by one’s selve, in which case there’s only the obvious conclusion of “thank you guys, i do not need you anymore! It was great as long as it lasted, but now I’m able to create my own story, which for me works a lot better and more mysterious!” I suspect that epecially Lynch himself in his own peculiar way wants us to come to that conclusion...

Wow, just wow. After waiting 26 years for a third season, David Lynch and Mark Frost return to create a wholly memorable experience. The atmosphere, mystery and disturbing beauty of this season is almost entirely surprising and will hopefully be remembered as a high point in modern TV, just as the original is remembered as a high point in 90's TV programming. This season definitely deserves to be next to the first two as my favourite show of all time.
