Product Description

Product Description

The first four instalments of the teen vampire saga based on the bestselling novels by Stephenie Meyer. In 'Twilight' (2008) Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) moves to the small town of Forks to live with her father. There she meets the mysterious and beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). The two grow close and become soulmates - but there's just one small problem: Edward is a 90-year-old vampire with irrepressible bloodthirsty urges. Can the couple's deep and passionate love overcome the frenzied vampires and werewolves that stand in their way - not to mention the disapproval of Bella's family and friends? In the sequel, 'New Moon' (2009), Bella (Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of Edward (Pattinson) and his family after her ill-fated 18th birthday party - but finds solace in a deepening relationship with her childhood friend, the irresistible Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), a member of the mysterious Quileute tribe. Bella's loyalties are tested to the limit as she becomes entangled in a dark and deadly supernatural secret. In 'Eclipse' (2010) Bella (Stewart) is reunited with Edward (Pattinson), but their forbidden relationship comes under threat once again as vampire villainess Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) continues to seek her revenge. Meanwhile, with graduation fast approaching, Bella is forced to choose once and for all between her love for Edward and her strong friendship with Jacob (Lautner) - a decision with the potential to inflame the centuries-long conflict between vampire and werewolf. Finally, in 'Breaking Dawn - Part 1' (2011), the newfound marital bliss of Bella Swan (Stewart) and her vampire lover, Edward Cullen (Pattinson), comes under threat when Bella discovers that she is pregnant. Posing a threat both to the Quileute wolves and to the Volturi vampires, the conception and near-fatal birth of their daughter sparks a series of dramatic events that threatens to tear their world apart.

About the Director

Twilight
Based on the acclaimed novel by Stephenie Meyer, Twilight is the highly-anticipated movie of the ultimate forbidden love affair between a vampire and mortal. Boasting a whole host of bright young talent including Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), Kristen Stewart (Into The Wild, What Just Happened) and Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down, The O.C.), the screenplay is written by Melissa Rosenberg (Step Up, The O.C.) and directed by the award-winning filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke (Lords of Dogtown, Thirteen).

Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn t expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she's ever met. Intelligent and witty, he sees straight into her soul.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon
This next instalment of The Twilight Saga sees Bella Swan devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen, but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of werewolves, the ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested. With more of the passion, action and suspense that made Twilight a smash hit, The Twilight Saga: New Moon is a spellbinding follow-up to the international box office phenomenon.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is the third film in The Twilight Saga based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling book series. Reprising their roles are Kristen Stewart (Bella), Robert Pattinson (Edward), Taylor Lautner (Jacob), Ashley Greene (Alice), Kellan Lutz (Emmett), Nikki Reed (Rosalie), starring alongside Bryce Dallas Howard (Victoria) and newcomer Xavier Samuel (Riley). The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is directed by British filmmaker David Slade (30 Days of Night, Hard Candy) from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1
The highly anticipated fourth instalment of The Twilight Saga, directed by Academy Award® winner Bill Condon, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 reveals the mysteries of this romantic epic that has entranced millions. Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), plus those they love, must deal with the chain of consequences brought on by a marriage, honeymoon, and the tumultuous birth of a child... which brings an unforeseen and shocking development for Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

With more of the romance, passion, intrigue and action that made Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse worldwide blockbusters, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling book series, begins the conclusion of the tale of vampire love, boundless friendship, acceptance, and finding your true self.

Love the films but now have to wait for part 2 of the final film so if you are collecting them possibly better to wait for the set of 5.

Each film in this Twilight saga is a must see for all Kristen Stewart fans. Being the focal point of the books, Bella's character traces her journey from quiet, unassuming teenager through self discovery and realisation of what it means to 'run with vampires'. Stewart demonstrates her true depths of professionalism in her portrayal of this character, being absolutely focussed on giving a true representation of the character that Stephanie Meyer created on paper with little nuances that may not be instantly apparent to a cinema audience without having read that books. Pattinson and Lautner bring surprising depth to their characters and the deliberate decision that the production team made to use different directors for each film really brings different emphases to each film which creates a series of films each of which have their own identity which guards against the danger of being repetitious or predictable. All round a very watchable set of films.

Apart from the B.D.1 having footage of the UK Premiere, this box set does not include any extra footage, interviews, behind the scenes etc so if you enjoy these extras you may want to invest a couple of extra pounds and buy the single limited editions.

fast delivery altho' i wasn't expecting it really before Christmas. 4 box dvd for less than £12 - great!
i enjoyed the film although the first 2 films are a bit slow going, by the 3rd and 4th film it was much better. Highly recommend read books first before watching these as there's a lot more going on in the books!

This was always going to be a good box set for me, as I am a huge fan of the films already. My Husband purchased it for me as a gift. The advantage of the Blu-ray is how the clarity of the filming is much more than the normal non Blu-ray version, everything in high definition is absolutely stunning.

The films themselves are a twist on the classic Vampire/Human/Werewolf love story, if you are a fan of these types of storyline then you will love these films. If not, just give them a go...you might be surprised!

This is one of many HD box sets I have yet to watch. We watched the first Twilight movie on HD but haven't seen the rest yet. The movies themselves are excellent.I didn't think they would be my kind of thing - being a teenage romance, vampire movie, but I love these. They look stunning, the soundtrack is perfect and the story is quite compelling. I haven't read the books yet as I think they will be more suited to a teenage girl, but maybe one day.

Excellent HD box set. Watching Twilight in HD really has an impact, cant wait to watch the other 3 films on HD and of course the Breaking Dawn part 2 will soon be out at the movies. Can't wait!

This pack arrived very quickly and came in perfect condition. The set is slightly different from others (the CDs are very thin but are exactly the same otherwise) but there is no point in carrying air! The CDs are great and I spent a whole morning in bed watching one after another (had a great time!) Amazing quality etc. I recommend them and great for Twilight fans:)
