The book is a philosophy of a professors approach to experimentation with LSD.

I came across extracts from the writing on another forum and was interested in knowing more.

The approach is interesting and alludes to the writers approach to life.

On the downside, it seems to have been written in part whilst on LSD and can take a little interpretation but on the whole is a decent insight into this man's life and approach to it.

I have come away from this book just wishing I could go for a walk with Timothy Leary and chat to him. I bet he would have been great to have as a friend. I wonder if he regretted standing up to the system but once he got on that trajectory he couldn’t get off and just had to see it through. I’m glad he lived the life he did, realistically I won’t drop out myself as I’m to lazy but to those who did/do to pursue something bigger good look to them.

If you're a fan of all things 1960's and you like the notion of Turn on Tune in Drop out the rise of the Counter culture then you will love this book. I studied Timothy Leary for my Open University degree in my first year and his association with the 1960's I was fascinated. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Read good reviews about this book and got it as a Christmas gift for my partner. Yet to read but the book arrived in perfect condition

Leary was infamous for his open advocation of LSD and now you begin to see what he was talking about . His ideas of Counter-counter culture leading to his pro drug stance is more openly discussed in "high Preist" but here is an exxcellent book for initiates into subversive literature . This book is well worth the money and ranks high alongside any similar arthours such as Robert anton Wilson(Who he wrote some of his more dark work with)
Five stars and worthy of every one

Interesting book. Important work to gain a reference on Leary and his contribution to psychology and spiritual transformation. What can I say, I liked it.

This book is enlightening. I'm a big fan of Timothy Leary and really enjoyed this book. This is a thought provoking inspiring book. Any one who enjoys Terence McKenna or Alan Watts would have a deep respect and appreciation for this book. It's a great read! I had to slow my self down while reading it and really meditate and reflect on what I was reading and I throughly enjoyed it! Would absolutely recommend it! To anyone as I believe anyone open minded could learn or appreciate something from this book. It's worth the time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding compilation of Dr. Leary's best works
Reviewed in the United States on 4 April 2024
The thoughts and ideas of Dr. Leary are put on great display in this text. The variety of excerpt sources, such as interviews, spiritual guides written by Leary himself, speeches Leary gave - these all aid in ensuring freshness of the reading. Compared to other psychedelic works, the personalness and intimacy of this text can be felt.
