Top customer reviews
The book explores the key events of Elizabeth's reign and provides the evidence by which these can be explained. Key questions are presented at the start of each chapter and these form a framework for the text and activities that follow. OCR syllabus B, unit F981, examination style questions are provided in each chapter, together with guidance on how these should be answered. Generic advice on how to succeed in the examination can be found at the end of the book.
The author, Andrew Pickering, is a highly experienced teacher of A level History and undergraduate level History. He is an OCR A level History B examiner and has written several textbooks formally endorsed by OCR including Lancaster to Tudor: English History 1450-1509 (Cambridge University Press, 2000), Race and American Society, 1865-1970s (Heinemann, 2009), and Different Interpretations of Witch-hunting in Early Modern Europe (Heinemann, 2009).
