There is one thing I think Tschiffely has got wrong in the book though. In the introduction sections he apologises for not being a writer, in advance of his experience of producing this kind of work. He had no need to do so, he is a writer in ever sense of the word. Talented at connecting his subject to the reader, this is a skill many authors never fully master. Tschiffely you are magnificent!
I also got the book which I feel is an accompanyment to Tschiffely's Ride, The Tale of Two Horses. I have not finished the former just yet but can't wait to do so in order to start the latter.
This is the first book review I have ever written whereby I could not let the opportunity to go by without giving the respect, Tschiffely and his two remarkable companions deserve.
A great story beautifully told. A genuine classic. This hardback edition contained evocative photos and a touching postscript on his two faithful companions.
