About the Author

Krista Wayment has been making up stories since she learned to talk. Writing naturally grew out of that. Krista is an avid Fantasy and Science Fiction fan, and a total nerd. She is also a software engineer and loves playing video games. Although, curling up with a good book is still one of her favorite past times.

This book was a delight from cover to cover and will certainly delight younger (and older) fantasy fans, for couched within an outwardly straightforward tale are the elements that make for great fantasy - discovery, danger, evil, and an examination of the human condition in its many facets. The interweaving of dragon lore and the backstory of the falling out between dragons and humans is neatly woven into this tale, in which three young people are awakened to the magic of the dragonkind, many of whom are enslaved by humans.

Well written and captivating, I recommend Krista Wayment's work for readers and dragon lovers of all ages. You'll find yourself mining this story time and time again. I'm off to read book 2. Right now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and engaging 29 April 2014
By Sarah Dalziel - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This story was interesting and contained a twist on dragons and humans which I had not yet encountered. The three main human characters seemed real and each had their own distinct characteristics and annoyances. Even the dragons were fascinating and each was a little different and unique.

I gave five stars because the book is well written and engaging. However, I had almost passed the book over due to the cover art. The cover does not do the book justice. Based on the cover I had pegged the book at a pre-teen level, but it is a teen or higher book.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy dragon fantasy with an element of magic, danger, perseverance, and doing what is right no matter the circumstances.
There are also hints that the next book will be just as interesting, or hopefully better, and I hope to be able to read it someday.

4.0 out of 5 stars A sweet story of 3 young people and Dragons 25 Feb. 2015
By Deepak S - Published on Amazon.com

Dragon stories have always fascinated me and this one came to me as a free book on amazon.

Its about Renick who is apprentice on Dragon training, Thane a warrior and laney who is apprentice healer.
The Dragon airship carrying these 3 gets ambushed and they are left stranded in a forest. They find a young dragon whose mother has been killed.
Saving themselves from the Hunters and Horrin , the trio reach a the Dragon hideout.
They come to now the Magic dragons are not dead.
They end up becoming member of a dragon clan and Trusted of the Dragon.

The Book is short and sweet with the chemistry between the three the highlight of the book. The adventure part is not too great but still enjoyable.
The language is simple and book moves at decent pace.

Some elements of the book and lovable, like the chemistry between Laney and Plyth. A dragon Gifting Heart Stone to laney.

I give this book 4/5

Three young people take a dragon glider flight toward a new starting point in their life. Little do they know that the major turning points of all their lives will be decided before they reach their destination.
Renick, Lainey and Thane meet an infant dragon just having lost its mother to a dozen dragon prize hunters. They learn that the little one can communicate with them in human language and comes from a fantastic hidden community of wild dragons from deep in the high mountains.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely delightful, imaginative, fun! 11 April 2014

Just finished a delightful book called Trusted by Krista Waymen. It is a fairly quick read and I would not have any problem reading it to my 3-6 year old grand children. No cussing, no sex, natural violence but not graphic. It is just refreshing to read something that appeals to the imagination and takes me on a journey to a land of dragons, magic, and three young people thrust into a survival situation that keeps you reading. I highly recommend this book and can't wait for book 2 in the series.
