After some research, I believe the price is far greater than previously sold for. Go elsewhere to buy.
Not so - with this design tablet, stylus and a decent programme like ArtRage I am enjoying painting again.
With this tablet and stylus I can position my chosen tool , brush / dispenser of digital colour precisely where I want it to deliver the colour I want in the quantity I need as it responds to my pressure on the pad - magic. Sitting flat on the work table there is nothing to impede ones hand movement - I really do like this even if I do feel as though I am cheating a bit - there is no mess and no paint or canvass to buy!
Working with photographs is so much easier too particularly if you want to cut-out an image the stylus and tablet are so much better at following the outline in a fluid movement - you must try it.
My daughter wanted a graphics tablet but was adamant not to have one of these flexible ones so I bought her the Trust Stylus Design Tablet which she was really happy with.
I belong to an art site and use the mouse pad to draw with and thought I would get myself a tablet too. I wanted something small to go in my dinky netbook case and saw this one.
It is lovely and light, stays put as it has a non slip backing. It feels like a mouse mat although smaller and works really well.
The pen is a bit on the scratchy side as someone has commented but mine too has worn down a bit, stopping the scratchy feeling as you draw. I tend not to use the buttons on it but occidentally press them while I am drawing which can be a bit of a pain but I know why they are where they are I just wish they could be deactivated if your not going to use them for a while.
It took me a couple of days to get used to it but that is only because I have never used a tablet before. Now its really easy to use and draw with. I still sometimes hold it a bit too high above the pad and loose the cursor but most of the time I manage ok.
It is a neat little thing and fits in with my net book beautifully when I dont need it. Also when I draw I can sit it next to my net book on a lap tray.
Maybe not good enough for business use or constant use with big projects but for the occasional user for at home its fine.
For me its perfect!! I am very pleased with mine. It does the job I needed it for and easy to stow away too. All boxes ticked!
Firstly, my item was dispatched the same day of ordering (I ordered in the afternoon). Hence, arrived very quickly by post.
Then, once the item arrived, setting up was the next step. It came with a manual that I did not need because it is simple as plugging a usb cable from the computer to the tablet and putting a battery in the pen (it came with the battery). There was also a CD where you installed the drivers from and the software that came with it.
The software is a clone of photoshop but only much simpler, and less functional. Thus, it is a decent software if you wanted to create drawing however I used Paint because it is even more easy to use. Don't get me wrong, I can use the software provided however Paint is more efficient to use.
Now on to the tablet itself. I must admit it is fairly small however that can also be a good thing because it is really portable. I also do like that it is really thin and flexible which also adds to the portability of it.
Now to the pen. The pen is great and very functional because it has 3 buttons (I do not know what one of them does). And you can program it so that you can scroll, etc. Furthermore, there is flick mode where you can flick the pen to do functional things like copy/paste, etc.
On the contrary, the provided cable is way to short for a desktop computer so I recommend you buy a 2m one (the end is the ones that the PS3 controllers use). Luckily, I already had a 2m one.
To conclude, this is a great buy because of the price - it is so CHEAP!!! I have had no problems with it and have made a few decent drawing with it.
It arrived quickly and I have used it quite a lot with 'Corel Painter'. Being the size that it is, it takes up very little desk room and it feels pleasant to use. The pen does require a battery, unlike more expensive tablets and one is provided with it.
My only complaint would be that the cable is far too short and I had to buy a USB extension cable.
All in all, I like this tablet and am enjoying using it, although I would still like to use a tablet that recognises pen tilt one day! :)
EDIT: May 2016. This was £24 when I purchased it not the £57 that it is now.
