I started this on a grey, windy Scottish afternoon hoping to feel a bit summery. This book made me imagine I could be admiring the beautiful Greek scenery and feeling the warmth of the sun. And it was a book with lots of laughs too - within the first few chapters I was giggling, especially when I read about one of the characters wearing a swimsuit described as 'a barely-there tangerine two piece that made her look like an elongated Wotsit"! The two main characters Ellen and Jan are both very likeable and believable. Ellen is there to help her sister Lacey, research the Blue Vue hotel for her upcoming wedding, but she is very uptight and not able to relax because of big problems in her working life. Jan also has problems in his past and a secret now that he wants to hide. The growing attraction and blossoming romance between them is described very sweetly. A forbidden romance of course, as he works for the hotel and forming attachments with the guests is strictly taboo. Both Ellen and Jan are very principled people and their issues give real substance to the story - it's not just light chicklit. (Not that there is anything wrong with a bit light chicklit of course!) The other characters were great too, particularly the animation staff Dasha and Sergei - there were some really funny moments involving their antics!

Truly, Madly, Greekly isn't just another holiday romance story. Right up until the end you don't really know what will happen. You hope you know, but you are kept guessing! It's an intelligent. contemporary romance and one I finished reading with a big smile on my face. The cover says it's the perfect summer read but I would say this is perfect for reading anytime!

My thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the review copy.

I'd like to thank the publishers and netgalley for an arc of this novel in return for an honest review.

What a fabulous summer read! Mandy Baggot has created a book that is fun, fabulous, full of sizzling moments to get you in the mood for some summer lovin'!

Ellen and her sister Lacey are visiting Corfu, in the name of research, to plan Lacey's 'Big Fat Greek wedding'. Lacey is set on this big volumptious OTT wedding and soon goes into manic Bridezilla mode. Ellen soon becomes distracted and the gorgeous Yan from the hotel complex animation team takes notice of her and wonders why she is not enjoying herself like her sister.

One of my favourite characters was Yan, I loved his courageness, his vulnerability, his compassion, his hope, his dream and his gorgeousness! I'm definitely Team Yan :)

We get to know more about the lives of Ellen and Yan and they both discover they have unfulfilled dreams waiting to be given the go ahead.

Mandy has also created some wonderful subsidiary characters, I particularly liked a duo act in the animation team in the name of Dasha and Sergei. They sounded like a fun team and would definitely make your holiday memorable. The antics this pair got up to were hilarious.

I would recommend you grab hold of this novel whether you are travelling overseas of enjoying timeout at home. Make yourself a fruity drink and stick an umbrella in for authenticity. Sit back and relax and enjoy the fun, frolics and drama that Ellen and Lacey have in Greece. 5/5* read.

For someone who loved this book I'm having a hard time putting down in words what I want to say. This book pulled me in from the very beginning, and I got annoyed with everyone and everything around me that tried to distract me from reading.... I sat up until after 3am reading because I couldn't put the book down and the only reason I stopped reading was because the book ran out of words for me to read. Look up the definition of page turner in the dictionary and you will find it next to a picture of Truly, Madly, Greekly.

Baggot has done a great job of setting the scenes for the reader... I could almost feel the sun on my face and feel the sand beneath my feet (although that could have been sleep deprivation and wishful thinking). And the characters are great. They are far from perfect, they each have issues in their past they would rather nobody found out about (no spoilers)... and despite those secrets they keep hidden from others, they find themselves drawn to each other and opening up in ways they never thought they would.

I've never really understood when people have said "fab beach reads" before but this... this is the ideal book to read just before you go on holiday to get you in the mood.

I am puzzled as to how I had never read a book by Mandy Baggot before this one. I have five others by her, sitting on my kindle that I have either bought or picked up as Kindle freebies, over the past four years, but yet I haven't read them. I suspect that will be changing in the coming months, as having read Truly, Madly, Greekly, I now know I have been missing out.

I think I knew I was going to enjoy this book when in the first chapter there is the first encounter with Yan, who mentions he is part of the animation team at the hotel in Corfu. Added to the knowledge that it was an All Inclusive holiday, and that is enough for me to know that the story was going to based in the exact sort of hotel I would pick for myself on holiday. There is nothing I like more than eye-ing up sexy members of animation, and I was intrigued to see what would happen to Ellen and Lacey on their holiday there.

Lets start with the cover, its a stunning image that brings up the imagery of a holiday, and the tag line "Sizzling summer reading" I can assure you is telling the truth. This is an incredibly summery read, one that if you don't have the means to read it on a beach, then find a warm spot somewhere, relax, read this book and you will completely believe you are in Corfu with Ellen, Lacey and Yan.

Ellen and Lacey are off to Corfu, to the Blue Vue Hotel, where Lacey is hoping to plan, and have her wedding. Lacey fell in love with the wedding venue at the hotel, and having dragged Ellen around various UK venues, is now taking her to Corfu to look at this one.

Ellen has been going through a tough time recently, although she has kept it all secret from her loved ones, and doesn't really want to be away from the office, let alone relax into a holiday.
