Really very scrumptious. Keith Floyd would have approved of this product.

Will be buying more, but a little goes a long way. Try pan fried flambé foie gras with Armangac on toast, just introduce the slivers to the pan at the very end with another click of butter and a small splash of double cream.

Heaven. One could also combine it with dried/fresh morels in again a spirit based sauce with cream and butter for a napping on, say, veal escalopes. Make sure your butcher flattens them wafer thin... Just like Mr Mangetout liked...

But also, Dublin bay prawns/Cornish crab claws in garlic, parsley and black truffle butter with hunks of crusty white bread... Well - we are going into gastronaut orbit.

As for transforming the humblest chicken livers, cream, a tad of gelatine, chocolate in a Bain Marie with a few of these we are talking about perfection on toast.

There we are ~ nice product, well packaged. Fragrant, pungent & delicious. Perhaps as close as you can get to a fresh truffle rooted out of the soil underneath an oak tree in Perigord Vert as one might hopefully get. And actually not a bad price too.

Perhaps I should write some recipes for their website ? Happy cooking, happy gourmandising, happy life ! Greg

Was worried when I saw the price as it's cheaper than loads of real truffles but bought a jar as a test. It was a small jar but packed with slices and odds and ends of truffles (including the nice crunchy bits). The real thing, VERY tasty, I added it to mushrooms to make the perfect pasta sauce. Then to poached eggs. Such a luxurious taste and the unique real truffle smell and totally useable, it comes in olive oils would last for some time once opened, mine though didn't last the week . Am now buying it as Christmas presents for my foodie friends.

When this arrived, some of the oil had spilt and was all over the inner packaging. The smell was very unpleasant and at first I wasn't sure what it reminded me of. After opening the jar and trying a sliver, I realised that the overwhelming smell/flavour was of wasabi. It was strong enough to clear blocked sinuses. I have only previously tasted wasabi on peanuts. I don't know if truffles are meant to smell like this but I find it disgusting. The seller emailed me asking for a review and I explained my experience to them....I didn't hear back. Keep your money unless you like expensive wasabi.

I bought fresh Black Truffles in the past which was more expensive and I have to say I wasn’t happy with the taste. I took a chance with this product and really love it. My GF never tried anything like this before and she was sooo impressed with it. We have now ordered the 80 Gr and the 3 different oils…..That thing is addictive, in a good way. We tried scramble eggs which was OK, but our best so far was Truffles stuffed Fried chicken breasts with a finish of cream and normal white mushrooms, this is going to be our Saturday dinner for a long time I think, children love it too!

Tasted great. I made duck fois gras and truffle pate and duck egg and truffle scramble.
For both I used 3 slices and the taste was clearly visible in both dishes. My wife said it is much better and has a clearer taste than the truffle oil we have used. I would recommend it for the special treat or everyday use as it's not that expensive per portion.
