As with the first three books in this series, I enjoyed this one as much as the others. Yes, there were anomalies with regards to the historical period and the language is not quite as it should be, but who cares! Mathewson remained true to her characters and made me laugh, and I enjoyed seeing Jason and Haley again.

This latest Neighbour from Hell book is good, it's just not as good as the previous instalments. The characters are great and so are some of the scenarios. However I live in England and found some of the ideas about period society and historical culture a bit wide of the mark. RL I love your writing but either leave the 'old country' out of it or let me edit it, worth a try?

Probably one of the best books R.L. Mathewson has written yet!! I'm not going to give too much away so I'll just share the points which got me hooked, as with the other neighbour from hell books the animosity at first between the two main characters always pulls me in, the bickering and banter as well as the plain just trying to piss each other off keeps me chucking throughout the books. I love how she doesn't change the dynamics in their relationship too much when they inevitably get together =) the thing about this book is it made me cry at one point soooo much that I was blubbering like a baby and to evoke such strong emotions from a reader just shows what a truly gifted writer this author is!! I would recommended any o the books written by this author as I have immensely enjoyed all of them, I can not wait for what ever comes next =D

The story begins in 1809 Elizabeth the youngest daughter of Lord and Lady Norwood, and Richard Bradford the second son of Lord and Lady Bradford are both children. Their antics drive both sets of parents mad. The teasing and pranks are relentless. When both carry it too far, they stay out of each other's way for years.

When they are both adults they meet at a ball, not realising who the other is. By the time they do it's too late, they had started a chain of events that would affect the rest of their lives.

This is not a conventional historical romance, there's little detail regarding the period in history, but that does not affect the enjoyment of this story. The two lead characters are very likeable and engaging. Their relationship is fraught with drama and emotions. Their families don't make things any easier. But this is a very well written romance that ticks all the boxes for me. I love the NFH series and this latest addition is one of the best.

I've absolutely no idea why I've waited so long to read this book since I've loved the previous neighbor books but anyway I finally got round to it and loved it.
It's everything you'd expect from this author, it takes us back to England 1809 and the first neighbours from hell. Elizabeth is the daughter of an Earl and she's expected to behave like a lady at all times even at seven years old she knows what's expected of her, Elizabeth may only be seven but she has a huge crush on her neighbour James, he's her prince, she feels completely differently about his younger brother Robert now he is the neighbour from hell and they have a hate hate relationship, but everything gets out of hand and they end up not seeing each other for fourteen years.
This is funny and entertaining the characters are wonderful and I really enjoyed it.

I discovered the Neighbour from Hell series a couple of months ago and became so addicted to the cute, reliable, funny and sexy story I blew through the first three books in two days.

Unfortunately by the third book, the things that I'd come to expect from the characters and the plot started to make me feel a little jaded with it. Too much of a good thing etc.

I loved this. It had the couple who love to torment one another, the humour, the banter, the running joke about the Bradford man's insatiable appetite and the great chemistry and smut but set in the past. This was the original Bradford' s tale.

Ignoring the fact that the English aristocrats used quite a bit of 21st century American slang (garbage and figuring something out for instance) this made for a refreshingly different twist on the tale and has reignited my enthusiasm and love for this series. Genius idea.

This is a really entertaining, funny and low angst series. Recommended, but my top tip would be to leave a gap in between the stories to prevent fatigue.

I enjoyed this book but didn't love it. The first half was really good but seemed to go off track. I'm not usually in agreement with the word police but if you are writing a book based in the UK don't use american words.
