Fantastic ! He took me to many great spots and introduced me to the classic Bohemians of the world who fish the wonderful trout waters of New Zealand. This is not a guide book but a view into the many classic experiences through the eyes of a sensitive and devoted fly fishing philosopher and romantic. HASH(0x92707978) out of 5 stars One author 14 Jan. 2014
By Tim Trengrove - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If there was just one trout fishing author I could read, this would be the guy. The Trout Bohemia cements Derek Grzelewski's reputation amongst the finest. Books are a way to travel through fishing experiences we may never have and I want to take my special trips with this author. Anyone serious about trout fishing must read this book and keep following Derek Grzelewski.

HASH(0x92707db0) out of 5 stars A great mix of fly fishing culture 3 Nov. 2014
By John Stranack - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
A great mix of fly fishing culture, NZ history and the very personal balance of the authors personal life. I really enjoyed revisiting many of the rivers that I have fished over the years. A very easy going writing style makes this a great read.

HASH(0x92707d98) out of 5 stars Flyfishing - well I don't fish! 29 April 2014
By Lou Hatton - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Its a hard thing to explain and many don't believe you when you say it's nothing to do with fishing.

Derek has told the story convincingly and relayed the passion.

Just a matter of whether the non-believers, or at least though who are curious, pick up the book.

A good read.

great book, the author ties much more of life's issues into this. Get sick of secretive and narrow scope fishing stories.
