Defense contractor Brennan Shipping CIO Joe Casey hires her company who sends the world's greatest legal hacker Naomi to break into his new system. She finds it ironic that as a college student she illegally hacked into Brennan Shipping; now she can repeat her escapade legally and clean up any signatures left behind. When Joe and Naomi meet, sparks fly though neither wants an attraction between them. She needs to prove to the world that she has brains as much as beauty while he does not go out with workers or women for more than three dates. Still they fall in love, but he is a boat person and she cannot swim; besides which they must deal with a hacker trying to gain access to top military secrets though everyone concludes it must be her.
BIG TROUBLE is a fine romantic suspense thriller that grips the audience from the moment that Naomi pleads her way onto the assignment and never slows down until the final confrontation with the hacker. The story line is fast-paced as the lead pair falls in love, but he struggles to trust her as she is the prime suspect. The glimpses at computer security are blended nicely into the plot so that the audience obtains a bit of understanding without slowing down the speed. Fans will enjoy Marianna Jameson's wonderful tale and seek her other work, MY HERO.
Naomi Connor has it all. She is the hottest computer security consultant in the field and she just happens to be the hottest babe around! She is also lugging around an enormous secret that changed her life once and will now alter her future.
Joe Casey has it all. Everyone notices him. Joe Casey is one hot commodity with three standard rules: Do not date a colleague. Do not go beyond "Date 3." And never, ever allow a woman to board . . . your . . . boat.
And he just hired Naomi Connor! Her assignment: to hack into the Brennan Shipping computers!
Author Marianna Jameson followed the perfect romance format. She wrote a wonderful, loveable heroine. A heroine with - brains, beauty, and an interesting job - a job she loves. Yet, a heroine with a huge flaw . . . a deep self-consciousness . . . over . . . her perfect body. A body that screams to the world . . . N.o.b.o.d.y. . . . can look this good and have some serious ability!
Jameson's continues her "cloud nine" fantasy with a hero "to die for!" The guy has EVERYTHING. Family, power, looks, money, intelligence etc. etc. etc. and he is worthy of the heroine's love! Sigh! To further enhance the magic, Jameson tosses in a little humor, a little pomp, a little suspense, and turns BIG TROUBLE into one big charmer - in other words, a very good read. Now, I want to read Jameson's first book - MY HERO. So on the whole, Marianna Jameson and BIG TROUBLE are a complete success!
