Absolutely amazing facts about fruit and vegetables. It's certainly brought a new dimension to those late evenings. Instead of watching reruns of Angela Lansbury's Miss Marple as I empty the whisky bottle and finish the joint, I can now learn interesting things about cucumbers...

HASH(0x92bcecc0) out of 5 stars A delighftul way to add to your knowledge of fruits and vegetables 20 Sept. 2014

This short book was a delightful read with tons of new information. I bought it for myself as I like to have great food facts at my finger tips for sharing with others. I was not disappointed. I learned so much. It is a great read for children and adults. I loved that Donna included a vibrant image for each fruit and vegetable she talked about it. I must read for anyone wanting to increase their knowledge on facts about fruits and vegetables.

HASH(0x9201f204) out of 5 stars Great Fun For The Whole Family! 29 Nov. 2013
By Jan Marie Mueller - Published on Amazon.com

My kids and I loved this book - there are so many things we didn't know about the fruits and vegetables we eat...for example, did you know that bananas aren't even a fruit at all or that carrots are considered the "king of vegetables"? This book is great fun for the whole family! Highly recommended.
HASH(0x922b24d4) out of 5 stars A delightful book for children 28 Nov. 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed this little trivia book. The author has done a great job presenting many intriguing facts. Did you know that pineapple is actually made up of several fruits stuck together? Who would have known watermelons are actually vegetables. This book will keep children entertained learning the goodness of fruits and vegetables provided by mother nature.
HASH(0x92282c18) out of 5 stars Why should I eat fruits and vegetables - Read this book and find out ! 28 Nov. 2013

OK I think I learned more from this book than my son did. Some really interesting facts about fruits and vegetables but delivered at a level that kids can relate to. I think this is a much better way to approach kids with why they should be eating fruits and vegetables. They can see for themselves the benefits and learn some interesting facts along the way. Did you know both apples and raspberries are in the rose family, I did not!
