Product description

Review

"Like all these books, Triumph Stag covers all the essential aspects of inspecting a car both structurally and mechanically ... if you can't take a mate to help mull it over, read this instead." - Classic Cars "Whatever you do, take this little tome along with you. It will save you heaps." - Gay Classic Car Group "If you are thinking of buying a Stag, you should definitely shell out $19.95 for this book. If you already have a Stag, for the price of a round of drinks it's well worth adding to the bookshelf." - Stag Owners Club --Various

A fine addition to Veloce's series of Buyer s Guide titles, as it s amply illustrated with detailed color images that highlight the car s weak areas and well-written text that points out the good ones. If you re remotely considering a Stag, you owe it to yourself to pick up this inexpensive book and to educate yourself, so that you find the best example your dollars can buy. --Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car

About the Author

Tony Fox was born in the UK and moved to North America in 1969. He completed an engineering apprenticeship with the Austin Motor Company, which later became British Motor Corp. He worked for BMC until moving to Canada and joining Massey Ferguson, where he was involved with most aspects of engineering. His interest in the Triumph Stag started in 1991 when he purchased his first car in Texas. This was quickly followed by a second car, which he drove back from California and continues to own to this day. A succession of ten other Stags came and went. His interest in British cars extends to his membership of several car clubs; he is Vice President of the British Saloon Car Club of Canada, Director for the Triumph Stag Club USA, and coordinator for the Stag in the Toronto Triumph Club. Of British descent Norm Mort was raised in Toronto where vehicles from every corner of the world were sold. He began taking pictures of old cars parked at the side of the road before he was ten. Norm was the youngest member on the executive of the Antique and Classic Car Club of Canada, Toronto Chapter. A Triumph and Stag enthusiast, Norm Mort's first car was a 1962 TR3A, later followed by a Spitfire and a continual line of other sporting models. A writer for car magazines and newspapers for the past 25 years
